I don't think BTC is dead.
i agree, it is not dead but took a pretty bad hit to the face

Bitcoin has character its been hit down before and got up and it will again a lot of people shold of just invested and quit complaining it was their chance to become somewhat rich depending how much they invested.

BitUSD and nuBits shall rise from the ashes. The only cryptocurrencies that didn't crash. If we want a future where crypto is actually used by people for trade instead of just wild speculation, we need stable tokens.

I think the USD-pegged crypto currencies are a valuable addition to the scene. I've bought some NuBits months ago and they are still worth 1 USD each! Time will show how long they can keep the price stable.

It looks like that is what is happening. We were all brought here on a dream and an ideal. BTC has rested on the laurels for too long and only the truly innovative will rise. Big money could come into this crypto space if btc gets knocked out and make a coin that would be a wet dream to all of us. There is so much bs and rigging going on in this space right now. We would all embrace a truly innovative crypto that the mainstream would support. Some of you big holders maybe saddened by what is going on but I am excited. Crypto isn't going anywhere. Its just changing and evolving. I am excited to see what the future holds.

You make some good points, but the thread title is way off:
I like some alts, but it is delusional and/or trollish to say that Bitcoin is dead.
You cannot possibly be both well informed and serious...

The current price is irrelevant. Fundamentals are important - big players are onboard - Microsoft, PayPal, Venture Investments are x3 for the last year.. it is all set for wide adoption, not neglecting altcoins , just saying - bitcoin has already booked the table.

Making threads with these kinds ofstatements is just damagining your reputation you look like a joke if you think that alt coins are going to be supreior to bitcoin if anything bitcoin would implement any good concepts that are found in alt coins rendering that alt coin as obsolete.

Rather than saying Bitcoin is dead, you should pray that Bitcoin doesn't die otherwise Bitcoin sinking ship will take down every altcoin with itself.

i'll see this (which has amounted to a scam) at its first real hard fork, then you can come back and talk about it.

there are no real buyers it is worth maybe 2 or 3 dollars as a curiosity and on the hope that the hard fork is successful, but to what?

CpoW for sure probably a hybrid, if not it will just fade away, also and EQ will be added (inflation) just as #Quark did first* : D

And if btc dies what are we supposed to use to trade with all these 2.0 alt shitcoins? simple question.
You guys have no appreciation for the infrastructure level btc is currently at.

We are greatful for the infrastructure pioneerwork bitcoin did. Thanks to that better altcoins will be much faster integrated.

Forget "2.0" - that's just a marketing-pitch.

We just wait for new basecurrency ... so you will know later what we will trade the coins against. It will not be Bitcoin.
So just wait for Coinbase and all the btc exchanges to just switch over to some agreed upon altcoin - are you nuts? btc dies it's over, for a long time anyway.

nope - bitcoin is a socialist shitcoin with heavy gravity due to inflation. Fat chickens don't fly. All it takes is time. Black swans are some beautiful shit, i can tell you that.

Bitcoin is much less important than the brainwash around here tries to make you think.  Nobody in their right mind buys bitcoin right now.

Coinbase and others integrate whatever makes them money.

I think you are clueless.

I don't think BTC is dead.

bitcoin isnt dead... dont listen to people who say that it is, they just need it to drop lower to make coin of there shorts.
look at bitfinex price is above all the other exchanges atm.

either way though im using viorcoin, its backed by phone minutes similar to the early mpesa, but i still need bitcoins to buy them.

Things are going to change around here very soon.
