Perhaps you can try LakeBTC, withdrawal services is quickly.
Had to badger support repeatedly for 2-3 days, but eventually all deposits were credited and withdrawals went through.
Phew. Never like hearing this sort of FUD about BTC-E. They are the most competent exchange IMO, and have always done right by their customers.

Support responded to my request and now my coins have been credited.

I took my coins out until things stabilize a bit. These are the sort of early detection you need to watch out for. btc-e probably wont' screw us but better be safe than sorry

did the problem effect everyone or just some people ? did btce say what the issue was ?

It's affected everyone and was related to a server failure I think. A lot of people are now claiming they have lost Bitcoin.

Unexpected maintenance in their data center everyone depositing / withdrawing cryptograms coins were affecTed and all old exchange address are no longer valid for deposit

BTC-e is not processing BTC withdrawals, yesterday they first said they are working on their "coin server" but today after they "updated their servers" and after being able to process the withdrawal I still didn't receive a shit, and I think I am not the only one here, so anyone else having problems ?
i just got my coins today
Btc-e is one of the better managed exchanges, I would give it a little more trust. Not saying a delay is excusable.
update all your addresses
Coins are moving too according to blockchain, gone from the one i deposited them to, to a new address

I tested ltc deposit+withdraw , and btc deposit/withdraw and everything came through, so im guessing that their DB work is done for now.
Please note, that old deposit addresses are no longer used, new ones are generated.

I sent a deposit to an address, when i refreshed a second later i got could not 'btc deposit not available due to update'. Blockchain confirms it was sent and did arrive it but it never showed up for me.
Waiting on support now.

yes I finally received my BTC... it was strange because they didn't update the status since yesterday and in my account the withdrawal showed as complete but I didn't get any coins neither an answer for my ticket, so I get a bit nervous.
