I might be wrong but normally I have seen when I was the Bitcoin price Rises who gets affected then the altcoins get negatively affected suppose Bitcoin Rises for some time and then Falls a little and that will react in altcoin market with a huge price drop down. Bitcoin is surely can be considered as a roller coaster because whenever its price goes down everyone just accept the fact that Bitcoin will go up everyone knows about it because it's promising in it if we see like one year graph we can even predict what is going to come next.

Rich people will always manipulate the market and try to make profit of it. long term holders will eventually be the ones who make the biggest profit, checking the price on a daily basis will only give doubts and encourage you to sell, Its better to hodl and forget about them for sometime.

Probably yes it still performing being like a roller coaster but in a vertical way because nowadays if you could notice the value of bitcoin it's keep flactuating but into highest value as possible it can be.
