The BTC price is not moving now and that is quite bad, as you can see now it is now stable for a long time and there are a lot of people that dont like it and that is bad.
They want to make profit fast with Bitcoin and that is logic and the halving is also coming to us.

The bitcoin price has broken the recent resistance. It is over $456 now. So it is a good sign that the price will rise further.

There are no indicators now that the price will have a large downfall to 430 Which means the road to 480 is open.
Either wednesday or thursday this will be a fact.

In fact, the bitcoin price for the last 5 months is consolidating, it is the same as that in December 2015.

I think price moves a lot due to people having a lot of bitcoin moving it. Buying or selling big chunks makes other follow along.

Honestly the main pressure on it is Russia, everyone knows the oligarchs launder their money through bitcoin!

Bitcoin is illegal in Russia. If you use it, you will go to prison for 7 years. The bitcoin volume is too small to launder money.

Illegal, yes, but underground geeks and illegal traders are still present in Russia. Also, there was once a time where LocalBitcoins in Russia posed a high volume, something like a couple of thousand bitcoins being traded.  Roll Eyes

the only pressure is manipulation by trader so price not move, we can only speculate the price will go up or down because we do not all do not have enough strength to tear down their walls were very thick.

i think a big part of it is because market is full of newbies (or weak hands) they do everything without any logic and only based on panic.

Newbies alone is not the reason for the cause. The market of most countries were near to burst which has a very minimal effect on price move. I believe its only the technology moving things at the right time.

Right now I would say there's a lot of bitcoin being sold or traded for other altcoins.  Interest in ETH is huge and people are looking for the next bitcoin or anything even close to that.
Ethereum is just fueled by hype as of now. It will die with all thee pumping it was having early on but will vaporize soon. Bitcoin will be left the victor on this front. Just look at Litecoin, do people even use it anymore other than trading it for bitcoin. Come one now. Reality is nice, isn't it?
The price of Bitcoin is now stable, and people wants to make some profit now around this time, so they are now going to trade so they can earn a little bit money with it.
And that is quite good and that give you also distraction to wait such a long time for a price increase, I heard from some people that it will take a really long time until it have a high value.
I think the more bitcoin popularity rise up the more it is been recognize and been used by many users and businesses online
especially the dark web more and more company who doesn't want to be known uses bitcoin as you can see more and more
online casino for bitcoin has been created and that helps bitcoin to move fast and bitcoin now got its stability.

I know the veterans here will tell you all kinds of reasons for this.....but for the ones who just got their feet wet, why do you think BTC price move so much? What is the main pressure on it?
the main reason is its market cap which not high as other assets thats why easy to manipulate the market. Bitcoin is undervalued with the current price.

The market cap is indeed low compared to gold and other less important fiat currencies, but still, I personally don't think Bitcoin is undervalued at the moment. Just out of interest, according to you, how much is 1 Bitcoin worth today?

According to the consensus of the market, the bitcoin is worth $426 each. It is determined by the buyer and seller.

The value of the bitcoin is the same as the price people are willing to pay for it. That is the price determination mechanism.

About BTC movement it is depends if sellers are more than buyers the price will go down and if the seller is less than buyers. the price should be increase. and i think this is just a nature of bitcoin that has pump and dump..
If there's no traders in trading site the movement of bitcoin is stable not actually stable but the movement is slow increasing..

Easy. It's a small market. With small amounts. It seems big for you but trust me it is not, not at all. So the only thing btc price needs to swing by 20$ is one or two banks/investment funds to play with it :/
