I do not know about the next pump , But there should be huge dump when we come closer to the end of December , A lot of people should cash out before the new year .

Evidence on why people would cash out before the end of the year? 2012 and 2013 have been the only years when Bitcoin price hasn't gone up in December, and in 2012 it just stayed even, while 2013 was coming down off the big bubble. So the history says the opposite of what you think will happen.
Hmm I did not say that the price will not go up !! . I said there will be a huge dump closer to the end of December . Price can go up even 50k before the end of December then get dumped and my prediction will still be right Smiley

hahaha ok sure. i'll let ya slide on that one Wink

Hi,

lately btc got lot of attention and new comers. The price is going up, right, its no news.

So, in your opinion, what is the support price of btc ?

1.5k, 2K, 4K, 6K, 8K ? more ?

Is it meaningfull in the current mood ?

On which duration would you look to determine the support ?
For me at the average of $10k is the support price of bitcoin, bitcoin price will still go up and maybe until next year. For me our safety is on at the price of $10k, so save until we can have it and invest until it can still dump. But as of now it will just dump on $9k. I just want to be safe and just want to rely on $10k supporting price. I don't want to think of other than that.

Based on last dump it should not go under 9000$,I think on that level we have high resistance. But we never know with BTC,it can go few thousands $ up in few days and then go down 2000$ in 24 hours. This is always interesting because people want to sell at the highest possible price and buy at the lowest.

Since CME is announced start of bitcoin futures at December 18., and by today news CBOE is lunching bitcoin futures at December 10., it is realistic to expect that price will go only up in next two weeks. How will bitcoin futures have the effect on BTC in general and to price correction it remains to be seen in the upcoming days.

i have read that people were saying that bitcoin could reach 10K by the end of 2017  Grin

it is possible for it to go to 15K and above and it may dump back down but probably not much below 10K

there is a lot of support for it at the moment

I personally think the price will keep going up leading to the launch of the CME futures on 18th december. Because the hedge funds are stocking up with bitcoins (to be fullyhedged, they need to own the underlying asset before they short).

After that, we'll see a correction. I personally think the support is going tobe $10,000.

Actually they don 't need to own a single bitcoin. https://cointelegraph.com/news/how-cme-groups-bitcoin-futures-will-work

But if a gambler owns a big futures contract (either short or long) and a lot of cash and coins, they can and will double game. Put large bets in futures and then try to manipulate the bitcoin price
in the direction desired for the outcome of the contract. They even can run double, short and long contracts simultaneous. That will not take volatility out of the BTC market, but even make it more wild.

And it is pretty clear they haven't bought into Bitcoin yet. So for them to try to manipulate the actual Bitcoin price they'd have to shoot it up first buy buying up a lot.

Uhh why are we asking about the next dump. We literally just got out of a dump. Another correction won't be coming until it go up a few thousand dollars more. Right now we're still just sitting around the peak of the last pump before the dump. Anyways, so support for the next one should be around $11k - $12k given that that is the start of the next pump, which usually serves as the limit for the next correction.

last massive dump which created a lot of panic was back down to $9000 from $11395 meaning a 21% drop. and right now we are on the recovery from that panic dump to  flush the weak hands out of the market. price needs to rise first before you start thinking about "next dump".

so lets talk about the first things first. the rise can easily be to $13000 and since nobody likes 13 price will fall back about 20% to $10500 as the support line.

Support will be at 12k USD.  You know why?  Because this ship is going straight up to 18k - 20k USD before crashing back to 12k.  We're not even at the crazy stages yet.  Wait til it gets really crazy.
I will support this, $12,000 is going to be the support at this times. And look at the scenario now, it's the same thing before bitcoin getting hard to get in with $4,000 and also with $10,000 before. This makes me want to stick with bitcoin and will love to see the great price for the next month to come. A lot of blown up speculations and events are about to come.

Its moving so fast (and yeah i m so new to trading), so many factors, its really hard question to solve.

Perhaps the bitcoin price will hit 20K USD next summer,if there are no bad news and no FUD.
I think that the OP is asking about the current support price.I would say it`s around 8500 USD or less.
During the previous crashes(or price corrections) the btc price decreased with around 30% and i know that the investors and HODLers won`t let the price to fall under 8000 USD.
