BTC

They're bitcoins, not bitdollars.

I do agree, the thai baht symbol shouldn't be used, it should be Ƀ

BTC is the best way to display price, the baht symbol looks too similar to the $ at a glance.

I've never even seen a real $ - like the other 6,500,000,000 people who aren't American. (though I saw one once on Starsky and Hutch or Golden Girls or Knight Rider or Dallas)

All those are fail, and the thai baht chiefly because it is already a currency symbol. This is better: http://www.ecogex.com/bitcoin/

Ƀ

I can never get this symbol to work in websites and other online forms/forums so I'm not quite sure about this one. i could just be unicode-tarded.
To be honest, I'm not sure. In Word, I can use Alt+579, but it doesn't work in this forum edit box. (I get "C") I usually copy and paste it, same as with the Baht symbol. I could create a keymap to do it though.

Also note that the lower case variant of the above symbol is: ƀ

While I like your logo to call the baht "fail" because it is already used is kinda silly.  There are at least a hundred or so currencies and only a dozen or so currency symbols.  The $ alone is used by over 30 currencies.  So is every country other than the US who uses the "$" also fail.

I don't really see the point of using both the symbol and currency code.  The symbol is shorthand which trades speed and simplicity for accuracy.  In the US it is very unlikely that someone means 1 AUS when they type $1 and in Australia it is very unlikely someone means 1 USD when they type $1.

Saying $1 USD is kinda pointless it provides no more information than just saying 1 USD.  I mean if you convert it to words you are saying "one dollar, US dollars".

$1 - casual use
1 USD - explicit use

฿1 - casual use
1 BTC - explicit use

Personally I always use BTC because I don't feel like having to use alt codes to type ฿.  Hey admins how about a "฿" button in the post editors? Also there isn't complete consensus on ฿ but I haven't heard any debate about BTC.

Using $ for BTC though isn't even intuitive (casual or not).  $ is used for multiple currencies but they all are known as dollars (i.e. US dollar, Aussie dollar, Hong Kong Dollar, etc).  We don't call 1 BTC "one Bitcoin Dollar" so whatever symbol is used it certainly shouldn't be the "$".

On edit:
I do like the ¤ symbol.  However without a consensus or near consensus it becomes difficult to use.

Only problem that I can see is it mentioning that Apple changed the character code to display as a Euro sign instead (is that still the case?).

Other than that it would get my vote.
