Thanks I'll mine LTC then. Anyone can suggest me a pool? I heard about Give-me-ltc but I'm not sure of what it is so...

Thanks!

I use that pool.

And I agree that LTC is the better way to go for now.

BTC is too sketchy.

Too scammy.

Too much BS in BTC.

It depends if you can get the full kH/s out of your card mining LTC.  I am getting 650-700 MH/s BTC with a 7970 on very cheap hardware - old motherboard, 1gb ram, etc.

I tried going to LTC hoping I could get more $$$ doing 650 kH/s, but my hardware couldn't handle it.  I started getting bad shares around 300 kH/s, and once even crashed my motherboard with a 'thermal event'.

So yeah test out where your hardware max out mining either or, and then decide.

As far as I know, Litecoin will give you better returns at the moment.
However BTC has a larger market though I do like LTC.

I say mine LTC and then sell half of what you mine for BTC, and then stack both.

Mine LTC and convert it to BTC  Cheesy

Isn't that kind of like biting the hand that feeds you?  If LTC is becoming the only alternative for GPU miners, shouldn't they be thinking long term and retaining the Litecoin instead of just making ASIC mining that much more profitable?
I agree. If people keep converting Litecoins to Bitcoins they will simply fall in value and become another alt coin for the count.

I would say Litecoin, as Bitcoin difficulty will keep increasing as more ASICs come online.  GPU mining is going the same way as CPU mining with Bitcoin.

But ASIC will also be used to mine Litecoin, so not a safe guard either, am I wrong ?

Scrypt is more ASIC un-friendly for now so it wont be a problem in the near future.
