There is a wonderful greasemonkey script that livestreams BTC prices to the forum:

Just use another tab on your browser to visit http://preev.com/, https://bitcoinaverage.com, or the exchange you use.

It has already been discussed:

I think it would be not of much use, since there are too many exchanges with different prices, and no bitcoin central bank to say who has the right price.

Also in bitstamp the price is shown in the tab's name, and live updated.

Hello,
My question is : Is it possible to put the actual price of BTC at the forum somewhere?
This way it will help me follow it all the time I am online on the forum and not switch to other page. This also can prevent people from asking the same question about the BTC price right now or to ask what is the price right now.
Thanks Smiley

There is a wall observer's thread where the price is automatically posted each hour.

In my opinion there is no need to place the price at the main forum window.

Regards.
