the situation is getting worse and we should be able to deal with it with calm. I am sure there has been a lot of panic because the price of Bitcoin has dropped very significantly. Investors will lose their assets if they sell at this time, they can try to be patient and sell it when the price increases again. However, the risk is that when prices do not increase they will experience much greater losses.

Most of the experts believed that we are still in the middle of bearish trend that is why many people are still in doubt and decided to wait for the bull run in which its looks like just a fantasy now and with the SEC on the move to clean up some questionable crypto related projects then i don't know if this will add on the miseries that the Bitcoin market is enduring now but i believed that Bitcoin will surpass these all as it has been in these difficult situations before.

i think speculators now take action sell the rumor and buy on fact.on next week swiss ETP trading launched and next month december 12nd BAKKT also launched.so they make drama to take lowest price before both of that happen.

I actually have no idea why BTC tanked around $1000 today.

In the past there was usually some reason like hacked exchange or ETF rejection/delay or China ban.

After research I can only come up with 2 reasons. First one was some over leveraged longs on OKEx, basically similiar to what happened a few months ago with that half a billion liquidated position.

Second one is Craig Wright saying he really is Satoshi and he will sell all his BTC to fund miners to mine SV instead of ABC and SV.

I think the former makes more sense to me.

These seem reasonable causes but I wonder, and this point is intertwined and relevant to your last point, if it's also got to do with the fact that miners experience a mining crisis with more and more inefficient mining?

I think there might be something more to this than just Craig and Jihan and roger fighting. I mean people were expecting some sort of bull run by now and instead we are going backwards instead of high. I think people did not expected anything like this at all but we are so scared of anything going wrong at this moment that people literally sold at cheaper prices because they believed the price would go even further down. We still don't know if it will go even further down.

I do not like it when other coins fall though, I mean I understand why bitcoin went lower because some people sold bitcoin but at least it should have made altcoins go higher, they will be valued higher compared to bitcoin since bitcoin lost value, but all of it lost value for some reason. People sold bitcoins, not ethereum, not ripple, not dash, but all of them lost value for no apparent reason at all.

I know a lot of people think that fake satoshi is selling his BTC to fund his BCH SV coin but I don't think it's related to that.

What happened most likely was that too many people assumed that since November is normally bullish for BTC they all went long on margin or on Bitmex and basically some large whale started a domino effect when the $6000 and $5800 yearly support broke.

Basically people either were margin called, or stops were hit or they set sell-stops below $6000 and basically there was a huge lack of demand and huge supply hence why price went down so fast and so far.

Yes, I don't know why people always blame the Satoshi, why can't we consider that whales are maunplating the market in order to grab the Bitcoin at a low price. Whales will easily spread the negative news about the Bitcoin and start dumping the Bitcoin to lower value in order to grab them. This is completely market trick by the whales.

It's probably whales indeed playing that started this decline. We all know how easy it would be for them to cause a snowball effect when they stage what would seem to be a sell off. And i agree also that stop losses have bet met with people not actively selling their btcs. As of now we have a new yearly all time low. Who knows, whales are probably waiting for this to happen.

They only look at the organizers, but they can not come to it. They can not manage such anonymous transactions. Our market should only be for decentralization and there should be no government or legal involvement.

It is difficult to understand why in just a single twink we suddenly saw like this.  Such huge fall really makes people's mind to think negatives and we can't blame to do have it.  In fact,  only strong believer will stay forever and doubtful individuals will leave and loss. We have tested our trust again and yet, we need to survive and conquer our worries.

I don't think the price of bitcoin will be the same as last year he will continue to fall maybe below 5k.
maybe he will go back up at the end of next year or another two years, which obviously will be very lethargic this year.

SEC is not doing anything, all I see right now is the whales trying to usher in more ground for the institutional investors to get in, by scaring away the weak hands since that is what they have always wanted. So in a way, it will only take those with balls and the long term focus to not get shaken by some of the things being done by these people. Whichever way, I only see this avenue as the market trying to give a good chance to at least manage to get to pick bitcoin at a much lower price.

Even though there has been a lot of anticipation for a bull run before the end of the year, nothing is still impossible. We just wait and see.

Let's discuss!
Maybe black Friday preparations started too early as people want to spoil their loved ones with some gifts but nevertheless this is not the first time prices have dipped....but am suspecting this could be linked with the Binance hack and people are just playing it safe at the moment and moving their money where it's safe.
Well I think you are quite overthinking. There might not be such association as you are making between these two elements. Keep going with good spirit and don’t lose control.

Let's discuss!

Well, the timing of the SEC to review some crypto related  projects is not good while the crypto currency prices plunged to below $6,000. This is not good as it will create additional FUD to the crypto users making them the market performance to become worst, the worst part is if they will rejet the ETF again in which everybody are expecting that it will trigger the market to become bullish if will be approve.

The crash market has been happening ever since many makes money and many ran out of the market which are the newbies who never understood the market. When I was a NEWBIES I was at the same position seeing the whole bearish market. I keep understanding without having to get scared about it.

The fact that one single individual or a few individuals have the ability to crash the market and bring it to it's knees says a lot about the crypto space in general and this is one of the reasons the SEC site flagrant market manipulations as a reason for not approving Bitcoin ETF applications. The fact that a few people can put the investments of several others into complete jeopardy is a cause for worry.

According to me, big whales are manipulating Bitcoin price. They are the big gamer of crypto market. But I trust on Bitcoin and price will increase very soon.
