Well here is my answer even though i think this comparison is very unreasonable, base on global acceptance both in terms of transactions and value i will be speaking in favor of usd, even though btc are being accepted in some stores the gap is still very wide to cover and it could take a while to see global adoption.

It seems this comparison is limp. It is so different in nature and origin. I'm sure most will choose bitcoin. Because blockchain is becoming a growing industry with outstanding power and widespread worldwide. in it, bitcoin is the king of the most influential and important market. compared to it, the dollar is really small with inherent senselessness.

I hate Banks and I do hate those who control them. For me it is always Bitcoin as I know it is not controlled or Governed  by few billionaires. Few more reason are - The value of FIAT cannot be controlled by the general public, the value of Bitcoin depends on General public/investors. Ten years from now value of Fiat might not change or change but, Bitcoin value will rise and more people will be using it.
I agree but the BITCOIN price is not as stable as USD

Comparing 2 different currencies is pointless I think. These 2 currencies have benefits in different ways.

If you will see it in terms of usage, USD is more preferable to use compare to Bitcoin since there are not that much establishments right now that are accepting Bitcoin. Now if you are comparing it in terms of investment then definitely Bitcoin will be the one to pick because of its volatility compare to USD.

Comparing both BTC and USD is comparing apples and oranges. They're both distinctive from one another, with their unique use cases within the mainstream world. For some people, the USD will suffice since it's widely accepted worldwide because of its stability and longevity. But those people who are wary of their privacy and censorship-resistance, will definitely use Bitcoin on top of the USD. Of course, the USD may have a greater selection of merchants who accept it, but Bitcoin is getting there slowly but surely.

With the Lightning Network on track, Bitcoin could become used the same way as the USD is right now. Instant, and cheap transactions is what it's all about for our economy to prosper like never before. If Bitcoin successfully adopts the LN, then what's left is to solve price volatility in order to become as stable as any other traditional currency to date. Given the many benefits that BTC provides on top of the USD, many people will join it over the long term.

Still though, the USD will still be the winner here because of the aforementioned reasons. Which is why, neither BTC will overcome the USD or vice versa. We'll be dealing with various forms of money in the future whenever it's tangible or intangible. Therefore, I believe that both BTC and USD will part their separate ways for the foreseeable future. Just my thoughts Grin

Btc is my choice , though both have their advantages and disadvantage , but i still prefer btc to that of USD as USD inflation is unbearable but btc volatile can be recover in a short time and even surpass as it grow with fast paste.

USD will only be an option when btc enter its bear market just like in 2017 but as at the moment I think having it is more secure than USD.

It is wiser to see the potential for more profitable investments. The USD is more stable and is tied to the Bank but Bitcoin is volatile.
It is very risky to hold a bitcoin because the Government does not interfere in controlling prices fully affected by demand.

For now, maybe we can choose BTC for its decentralization, unlike USD that is being controlled by the government. If they oppose the bitcoin and do everything to diminish it then BTC is done for. USD for lifetime and BTC is for the hype today because it has a lot of profit we can make to it.

Just like what you think and decide, the BTC is a kind of speculative asset and similar stock. If you do not want to profit, do not participate in hosting BTC. USD is widely used around the world and its value never changes. With BTC you can have profit or risk with it, or it is a means to exchange and convert to usd. For me, I love BTC

For daily activities involving money and consumption, USD and other fiat currency are really necessary, so shifting to all digital really will take time. Bitcoin for me is a store of value, indeed we are at the phase to change to be digitalized in the near future but at present, we should make some consideration.

Safe to say banks are on the brink of extinction.

I would definitely think that for short term USD is far better , as it s the medium of transactions and can be used worldwide. And I can buy food with it straightway . As regarding long term I would always go for bitcoin as bitcoin's value as a investment option is far better and its value will rise. so which one is better ? I would chose USD for now

I think banks are only useful when you have a huge amount of money and you are not going to touch them for a few years because if you are average salaryman and then you are spending a lot of money because you make active transaction with them. So in conclusion, the banks favor the rich while poor workers getting robbed quietly with small fees. Thus makes me choose btc as the better replacement for fiat.

These guys have some interesting stuff going on here https://cryptotradernews.com/cryptocurrency/bitcoin-vs-usd-for-storing-value-purposes/

Today, I would personally pick USD as it can be used world wide and for a variety of purposes. However, if BTC were to stop being JUST a speculative asset I would contemplate making the switch. I like being in control of my cash without having to depend on some greedy bank!

Thoughts?

They're are completely different in all ways. With different uses and benefits. For wider usage and acceptance, USD as more countries use it to pair against their currency which makes it much more in demand and in circulation. And of course, legitimately. Bitcoin is not yet accepted worldwide even though lots of people are using it.

But for traders, when BTC is going down, convert to USD to stabilize your funds and once BTC picks up, buy back so you can enjoy some profits and be safe
right, both have opposite properties. and for now the USD is accepted in all countries, but not with bitcoin. but if we talk about the future, I think bitcoin is more flexible to deal with increasingly complex economic conditions

The fact shows that the strength and stability of USD while bitcoin depends on many things as well as instability, but bitcoin brings convenience and speed. In my opinion, I think bitcoin still has a great potential. So i value higher bitcoin.

You clearly have little understanding, It is 2019 It has stopped being a speculative currency long time ago. You ignorance shows by putting capitals for JUST. Bitcoin can be sued worldwide from day one.
I have bought things with bitcoin before so, so much for your bs about speculation.
I don't think bitcoin is for you. I think you should move on. Stick to your USD it suites you more.

That would be nice to have BTC be as versatile and widely accepted at the USD.  There would have to be several very big hurdles it would have to get over.

1.  One is price stabilization.  It needs to be stable.  I read an article yesterday that Bitcoin jump $1000 in 20 minutes https://finance.yahoo.com/news/bitcoin-price-jumps-1-000-170929308.html

2. hmmmm, now that I think about it, if we got over the hurdle of 1 most of the other hurdles would go away.

This comparison is incorrect. USD is much more stable, regulated and old currency. BTC is still something new with unclear future. I believe that btc will be more popular in the future but for now i personally choose USD

I definitely prefer a bitcoin. Because I am Asian.

Cool! Why should we use the US dollar when it only benefits the US government. I like Bitcoin because it's decentralized. And the potential is still very high.

I think for me bitcoin is more is better than dollar. Because allwe know that using bitcoin have more function using online transactions specially with the new mobile app that now are so many choices that we can use using our cellular phone. Unlike in dollar, there are so few activity in online because all we know that dollar is more usefull in actual or image form.
