I have been using preev ever since for quick conversions. And with the time being I've used it, I think it's down twice, IIRC. I like your site and its simpleness, and the only thing that I would probably have a hard time remembering is the URL itself. btc2fiat is easy to remember but the .me doesn't fit for me. I don't know if it's the same with others, though.

Overall I like it, and I have already bookmarked it.

How about http://preev.com/?

Thanks! Much appreciated. Preev looks nice, I'll take some ideas from it. Essentially I noticed many converts don't have Satoshis as a unit, which are used a lot recently (in fact I was used to seeing mBTC in my times). And as you mentioned, the dark mode. I read a lot while my toddler sleeps in my lap so dark mode is a must!

For now you can say it's bitcoin to USD  Tongue.
Can the user choose the price according to the platform? View the average price of Bitcoin in addition to the prices on each platform.
I hope that you will add some charts and some data such as tx fees, mempool and others.
Also, if you add ready-made prices with a single click (10$, 100$, 1000$,) it will be good.

Minimalistic Tx fees and mempool sounds like a great idea, maybe for a separate expansion of this project. Thanks! I wanted it to be a "war of the giants" between the biggest contender in fiat which is USD, but I wasn't aware of how big the Euro or Yuan are. So I plan on adding currencies.

When you mention platforms you mean different exchanges? Is it common for users to want to check multiple sources? (My own experience is that the number fluctuates so much that I always give or take some percentage when transacting with others).

Hi everyone, out of frustration I created a very simple, lightweight BTC to Fiat converter:

https://btc2fiat.me

It's free, open source, free of ads or noise.

What do you all think?

Even though it's a very simple idea I was quite shocked to find how hard it is to find a converter that is free of distracting ads and random information which I don't care much about (such as the price of other assets).

I just went down the Bitcoin rabbit hole so feedback is welcome here or on Github. Cheers!
