This isn't vaporware.  Unfortunately, the development process has taken longer than anyone could have anticipated, even considering the blistering pace at which James has coded everything.

Barely. I literally cannot believe the rate of progress since the ICO, but there is it anyway. And for free (or at least an equity stake rather than big BTC salary), with a decentralised community doing the rest.
Makes you wonder what those guys at Ethereum have been up to, let alone the other lot.

this is taking forever but i still hold

It won't take short, but it will take less than (my) expectation.

I talked to Azeh on Slack and it seems that substantial part of InstantDEX is developed (which I thought none has done yet) although there will be some testing period.

All this stuff is quite groundbreaking and unprecedented and I ain't blowing smoke when I say that.

James has over 40,000 lines of code and I have the SuperNET running (BTCD runs the superNET BTW) and have made calls to the network.

The current bottlenecks are further testing and the glossy GUI to automate everything.  Part of that will be done shortly for v1 in a week or so.  The rest will be released thereafter quite regularly with updates.

This isn't vaporware.  Unfortunately, the development process has taken longer than anyone could have anticipated, even considering the blistering pace at which James has coded everything.

Hi Everyone:

Things are developing quite nicely for SuperNET and BTCD at the moment.  SuperNET is gearing up for the big first release within a week or so and BTCDdev has compiled the BTCD SuperNET wallet for Windows.

After the big V1 release of SuperNET a lot of the development focus will shift to BTCD and Instantdex (of which BTCD plays an important part).

In preparation for this upcoming development activity and for more BTCD focus, BitcoinDark is now getting its own slack page.

Please go to the official website here: http://bitcoindark.pw/slack/ to request an invite!

Let's all help make BTCD come into its own!

Dumper have infinity btcd

It is actually more about not enough buying power, not whale's dumping; if someone dumps 1 % of Total BTCD in a day, the market will be doomed.
I don't know why only BTCD is not coupling with other SuperNET assets, which are doing very well and reacting accordingly to good news/media coverage.
In my theory, it is just a vicious circle:

BTCD has been hidden behind NXT & UNITY -> Potential SuperNET buyers will buy NXT or UNITY instead of BTCD -> Less buying support -> Down trend in price -> BTCD becomes less attractive -> Potential SuperNET buyers will buy NXT or UNITY instead of BTCD -> ...

But as long as BTCD stays with SuperNET and current development plan is kept, it should rise and fall with SuperNET.
SuperNET hasn't fully launched yet so you can take advantage of current low price as a chance to buy low, if you believe in the future of SuperNET.
However, cryptocurrency in general hasn't been doing very well these days and you should be willing to bear for the long haul, which doesn't guarantee happy ending.
All in all, it depends on your risk-appetite and perspectives on BTCD.

The latest shift for the BitcoinDark multipool paid out over 110 BTCD to miners on all three algos!

We need to have some more mining support over here at this pool. Prices are low still so this is a good reason to point more hash at the pool. These prices won't last for much longer as BTCD and SuperNET are nearing their v1 release.

Cheers!

I'm using the MacClient of BTCD. Where can I find the bitcoindark.conf file in order to add the nodes?

Hello everyone! I took a nice vacation and am back now well rested.  Smiley

As far as the Windows build is going, you may remember that I was able to compile SuperNET.exe. It was having problems though. I have been able to build it where it runs fairly stable, just still having some bugs to work out before it is ready for open testing.

Also, I ran the current BitcoinDark on a new computer, and it had trouble syncing. I know that many of you have also experienced difficulties. I added the following to BitcoinDark.conf and it started syncing very quickly.

Code:
addnode=107.170.59.196
addnode=146.185.188.6
addnode=74.91.20.250:39997
addnode=54.85.50.15:50288
addnode=107.170.148.50:14631
addnode=65.129.66.246:57762
addnode=31.220.4.41
addnode=107.170.44.31
addnode=101.103.54.206:51222
addnode=120.148.149.13:54338
addnode=184.100.114.11:63310

Happy New Year!

Matthew

Is there any difference between adding additional nodes and not adding them when it comes to staking?
Thanks

No, adding them just made my client sync quickly. If you aren't having trouble syncing, don't worry about it.
