Any update in the online ICO wallet to send?

Yes, we are testing it (the backend is working). Now we just must implement the thing to the actual ICO site. This takes some time still, could be a couple of days... could be more.

Aghhh this is so frustrating....Whenever I try to open my wallet (which I spent several days downloading the blockchain and everything was working) it says it cannot load blkindex.dat

Does anyone have a fix that does not involve redownloading the entire blockchain?

What are you guys doing to stay relevant during the times of xmr and zcash? This aint 2014 anymore.
Just wondering.

We upgraded the technology & vision, it's called Komodo.

There will be a swap, so BTCD can be swapped for KMD.

Can you tell me more about the new Komodo technology

Sure!

I'll explain the privacy side, which should be the most interesting part for BTCD investors.

We concluded that Zcash's privacy technology is superior to any other solution, even to our own (teleport/telepathy technology). As we needed the best technology for our platform we decided to fork Zcash. However, making a fork is not really that exciting, but rather the way we use the technology in our own platform.

Privacy for other cryptocurrencies
We can make bitcoin (or any other coin) private transactions a reality. However, doing that requires the other technologies SuperNET has been building, mainly Iguana. In short, Iguana allows blockchains to talk to each other which allowed us to develop an atomic cross-chain protocol (see our whitepaper).

We can destroy bitcoin's transaction track record the following way:
BTC -> KMD -> KMD Z-Tx -> BTC

The whole process will be automaticed:
1. BTC is exchanged to KMD through our decentralized exchange
2. The KMD is sent to a new KMD address through a Z-transaction (the anonymous transaction)
3. KMD is exchanged back to BTC

Any user could manually do that, however we can make it automatic through an app called Jumblr. Thus a user could simply use our BTC wallet which could have a "Private payment" button. The end user would only have to insert the BTC address where he wants to send his bitcoins to, and then the the whole process would happen behind the scenes.

Anonymous fiat transactions
We also have a thing called 'assetchains', which basically allow anyone to create new Zcash forks in seconds. Those forks are compatible to our other services, such as DEX. We have already created 32 special coins, which we developed a bit further. These are called PAX fiat assets, and their value is tied to local currencies (USD, EUR,...).

Because they are Zcash forks we can actually do the same anonymous transactions with them. We believe our way to tie the coin to fiat value is superior to the other current solutions. The anonymous transactions are really a cherry on the top. Of course these too are compatible to our other services, so you could store them in the same place you store your BTC (our Iguana wallet).

I sent my poloniex btcd to my wallet, but it's taking forever to sync.  Looks like the transaction is done and confirmed already.

Am I ready for when the snapshot happens or do I have to be synced up first?

also, do we have a new list of nodes?

You must be synced to send the BTCD out of your wallet.

However I believe you can now export the privatekeys, even though you are not synced.

Make sure to take backups Smiley

Your wallet.dat is fucked but not your private key. Close the QT, Load the daemon (not the qt) and use the client to dump your private key. Backup your wallet.dat, delete it from app data, close and reopen the daemon, import the private key to the new wallet, close the daemon, reopen the QT.
open the bitcoindarkd in a cmd prompt. It will just give you a black screen. leave that open and open another cmd, and execute the commands as c:\path\to\bitcoindark\bitcoindarkd.exe
Dump key - dumpprivkey "public address"
Import key - importprivkey "private key" "name it something" true
This is why i now keep backups of the files AND a plain text of private keys in an encrypted database (keypass).
Hope this gets you saved OP.

Thank you for the response. How to get the deamon?

1 KMD = 0.00012907 BTC
1 BTCD = 50.448 KMD

1 BTCD = 0.00651132

40% higher than the current polo price. am i missing something?

The price of Btcd on the exchanges has never adjusted to its KMD exchange rate, it's a very good deal

So if we send our BTCD to the ICO site will we still get the revenue asset?

Yes it's made exactly for that reason, because some people had issues installing a working wallet.

Snapshot Info

The BTCD deposit & swap feature will be online soon! We still don't have a date for it, but we will announce it as soon as it is ready.

This is a heads up for all BTCD investors: you will have 7 days to deposit the BTCD. After 7 days we will take the BTCD snapshot, so by then you must have your BTCD in a local wallet or in our ICO site. Don't keep your BTCD in an exchange or as a Nxt asset (SuperBTCD).

day 0 - BTCD can be deposited to ICO site
day 7 - BTCD snapshot for REVS asset

This was just a heads up - the feature is not online yet - so you cannot deposit BTCD yet.
