Waiting for Price rising up.

If you have nothing to do and will mine at Low Diff then you could try

dev take a look at https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/annmin-minerals-pos-developing-own-anon-solution-641057

If needed I can covert your timeline ( eg. gant chart ) into a visual chart. Also interested in redesigning the website. Let me know.

I see a lot of dumping going on. I am going to hold on to my 11k even though I will likely lose money at this rate. We need some news.

Unfortunately, I feel as though people are disappointed at the lack of features. I think James should at least release something to keep us going along. My fear is that it will get dumped enough for holders to start losing confidence and panic. It is already selling for less money than it was mined for!

yea im 6 btc into btcd as it is, but we also should have patients because as soon as it takes its first real dive im going to BUY and HODL Wink

Congratulations James Smiley, for making the Coindesk article: http://www.coindesk.com/things-alt-mintpal-fallout-viacoins-big-haul-altcoin-kids/

Unbelievably, no mention of BitcoinDark Huh.  Crazy, considering I've talked to many people that have said they've never seen the amount of mining interest in a coin, not to mention the fact the revival of sha-256 mining and rental prices and a network hashrate at one point that was 2% of Bitcoin's network hashrate.
Did you do a press release with followups?

I liked coinssource article better: http://www.coinssource.com/poloniex-list-jl777hodl-jlh-first-ever-crypto-asset-listing/

I will try to work in BTCD next time I get a chance with the press. This JLH thing happened so fast I didnt get a chance to figure out how to work in BTCD into JLH story, since JLH doesnt have any BTCD...

James

haha...don't worry about the mention.  I wouldn't expect you to mention BTCD in that context. And yes, the coinsource article is much better and much more informative.  I just really wanted to congratulate you...that's really awesome and I can see the potential for your plans for BTCD.

It seems BTCD is still flying under the radar.  I should have personally issued a PR or reached out to them for a mention.

Anyway, I think it is high time to start a steady marketing push.  I'd love to help out, but I certainly can't do it all on my own.

I also agree with a previous poster that suggested we all come together and support a bounty system for the second phase of the coins development, and I would say that first we should identify the biggest areas of need and work from there.

I think a well crafted marketing push based on the innovative tech plan will differentiate BTCD, the problem is that it is too complicated to make it easy to understand and reach large audience

Yes, agree.  We could try and distill the tech plan into bits of information that are more digestible for your average person. Maybe we could do this for some of the major features we plan on developing for the coin.

As much as I dislike Apple, they are marketing geniuses for being able to break down very technical things and then coming up with terms that appeal to the masses, e.g. retina display, and then are able to create a bunch of hype around it.

Now that the PoW phase is finished, I'd hope that we could all start using this thread a little more constructively and work together to throw ideas around and get stuff done!

Attn Miners: anybody who invested their BTC hashrate mining for BTCD might as well commit to the long term betterment of BTCD by pointing their SHA rigs at stratum+tcp://mine.btcdpool.com:5555
This will mine the seven most profitable SHA altcoins and auto exchange them for BTCD - putting constant buy presure on the exchanges and helping drive the price up.
If we could even get 100 TH of miners, we would see literally 2-3 BTC worth of buy orders every 24 hours.
The pool is paying out every 3 hours, 3 shifts have paid out thus far.

So it seems as though where we stand now in trading is the upside down pyramid, signifying a look to breakout. It is possible it could collapse though. Exciting to watch at least

I just released a Universal Multigateway http://www.jl777.org/universal-mgw-release-testnet-mainnet-n-coins-all-configurable/

This allows support for new coins very quickly and now I will use this to get BTCD so it can trade inside the NXT AE, so we can have a decentralized exchange for tradings.

We're opening for testing. Limited # of coins to start with and we're open to suggestions on coins to add so long as they tend to be profitable.

BitcoinDark by xpool - BTCD Multipool

PROP reward system
BTCD Payouts
Scrypt & SHA256 & X11 Algo's
DDoS Protected
High Performance Backend
Simple setup and usage
0% Fees while in BETA
To mine:

How does it work?

xpool offers 3 different sets of coins to mine. SHA256, Scrypt and X11. Each algorithm runs on a shift. Currently there is no set interval as there needs to be enough found and confirmed blocks to make trading worthwhile on the exchanges. We don't want to finish a shift only to find out, the exchanges are going to eat up the payout in fees or limit the withdraw with a large minimum. The confirmed coins are traded throughout the duration of the shift automatically to maximize the profits from exchanging them into BTCD. Once enough confirmed blocked are accumulated, the shift is moved into "Trading" status while all the exchanged coins are calculated into BTCD and then queued for payment. Once all the coins are confirmed as successfully traded and exchanged, the BTCD payments are sent.

As the pool picks up more hashing speed and sufficient BTCD can be picked up from the exchanges, the shifts will be set to a schedule and payouts more frequent and less worry about the exchanges. This is a growing phase so the more hash support the better.
If a DRK block is found, there's no exchanging or loss of fees as it can simply be moved into the X11 payout queue.

The advantage of the pool is that you can utilize your older ASIC equipment to earn you the more desired BitcoinDark.
Cheers and Happy Hashing!

Donations welcome!

Any issues, please report them here or feel free to PM me, as I can't always see every post.

PoW is done and looks like people are moving over to the multipool. I encourage all ALGO's to come over. There are already 150+ BTCD queued to be sent tonight at the end of the shift.

At this rate, I hope we can have a shift complete every 24 hours and then you will get BTCD every 24 hours.

Cheers!

joined your pool this morning, when does the shift end and payouts happen?

Shifts will roll over tonight and payout sent. Typically shifts will be 24-36 hours to ensure a healthy payout.

If you haven't already noticed, payments have been sent for the first shift!

Over 334 BTCD sent today.

Thanks for your support.

Cheera and Happy Hashing!

Quick Guide how to mine on CRYPTOSKILLS POOLS (without even entering the website!!)

Configuration:

Username: your BitcoinDark wallet address

Password: anything (could be a letter or number or whatever you want)

Algorithm: sha256

URL (difficulty 1): stratum+tcp://pools.cryptoskills.com:3015 -->Little Miners
URL (Vardiff): stratum+tcp://pools.cryptoskills.com:3039
URL (difficulty 256): stratum+tcp://pools.cryptoskills.com:3265 --> Bigger Miners
URL (difficulty 4096): stratum+tcp://pools.cryptoskills.com:3280 --> More than 1 TH/s

This guy gave me my 0.1 BTCD to sign up.  I mined for about 28 hours and never saw one payment from him.  I asked him about it and he said all payments went out and said he would get back to me asap.  That was a day and half ago.  FUCK THIS GUY AND HIS SCAMMING POOL!!!!

That's a pretty large donation! A bounty that size for the creation of a new symbol would surely rake in some creativity! The symbol is very important in my opinion. The one we have now isn't very flashy. I also think a nice sparkly GUI would be fantastic for a new wallet.

Im going to go live with mountolympus.club this week and start out sponsoring basic things like new GUI for the wallet. But Im trying to figure out when the nxt features are going to be integrated into the coin to begin an anonymous IPO.

While I understand the hatred toward mintpal, it is a large step toward legitimacy. It also offers high volume trading, and brings liquidity to the table as a result. Not to mention the wider audience that it will allow access to.

Now, to get voted onto mintpal is a different story. Voted coins ALWAYS get dumped immediately upon arrival. If they won't add without voting, we should just stay away completely. Most experienced traders look at the voting list specifically to check coins NOT to invest in.

well donated to help boost BTCD on atomic-trade, if mint pal wont take a donation they dont believe in this coin, and AE is right we need to stay away. Their volume is dropping 20% every couple of days on mintpal anyways lol.
