Sounds like a great business plan.
1) open an exchange
2) get as much BTC and fiat currency deposited as possible
3) close exchange and run off with with the money
Well, at least it worked just fine for him last year, so why not try once more ? Smiley

Exactly. It was take two. Expect another exchange by this guy soon.

is it possible that there are any dealings or connections to

bitcurex.com

those who vanished now?

To bad most people here do not like to be warned about risks they take. Well enjoy.

LOL. I saw someone over there complain that "withdrawals were disabled"...

There has got to be a better way to sell BTC than with hackable web sites...?

Are you referring to BTC-e which just suffered a security incident?

This thread is referring to Btcex:

as far as it looks now this belongs to Scam Accusations...

It's kind of hard to know whether some things should go in service discussions, trading or scam accusations at the moment and putting the service discussions and service announcements in the Marketplace forum only makes it even more confusing.

yeah..but at least it opens up the field for new competitors who aren't scammers. I keep my coins spread out. I didn't have too many coins at btcex but enough to hurt a little - I didn't trust the site owner but the volatility made for great trades.

Same, A couple people told me that the owner was a scammer so it would kinda make sense. I really hope not but it would make alot of sense if he did. He was waiting for 10000 btc and finnaly hit it and locked everyones btc in aswell

I used the exchange and basiclly it was having horrible problems with not being able to withdraw btc. I had 700$ in their. finnaly i managed to withdraw it by converting it back to LR. I had sent emails to support, the owner and pmed the owner. the owner hasnt been online here for more then a year. None responded. I personally think the site is closed and wont be reopening. I hope it does i liked the exchange.
