The person who lent me BTC is in India and I am in the U.S.. I have since ceased messaging them, but if they want to come after me for .09 BTC that's on them... I still am curious what that e-mail from BTCLend.org was supposed to mean.

The e-mail I received even had nice little graphics, definitely official from BTCLend. So strange....

I just received this e-mail from "[email protected]":

"EMAIL SERVER FIXED!
We wanted to let you know that the email server has been replaced and you can know resume with approval of your withdrawals and payments.
We apologize for the inconveniences this may have caused."

I then tried to withdraw bitcoin, not surprisingly still doesn't work....

Has anyone else received this e-mail?

The investors of BTCLend use slack to communicate and I have set up a forum to support all BTCLend members due to the issues going on. Basically I am trying to build a log of events.

Then please post the link/instructions/etc how to find all that...

I second this!

I have tried to rebuild what little I could of the BTCLend community. Mostly they are pissed about the forums and withdraws and other actions that we have seen happen over the past few months. Investors would really like to be paid back, however the main site is still working, but you are correct on this
Fortunately my loss is actually zero, but there is someone else who lost because they lent me the bitcoin and it is stuck in my wallet. I want to do the right thing and get it back to the lender, but it sounds like this all might be a lost cause... Hopefully someone with better resources than myself can go after the CEO and administer legal recourse.

If you are communicating with the lender in any way - be careful. If the lender can dox you they can come after you even though from your perspective it's BTCLend who stole the money and not yourself.

BTCLend is a SCAM!!!!

"Customer Support" for BTClendtalk.org has been offline for at least a week, but the primary BTCLend.org site is still active

There were all kinds of warning signs on the forums pointing towards SCAM

I personally have Bitcoin stuck in my BTCLend wallet from a loan I had funded - I cannot withdraw it and I cannot repay the lender. It is just sitting there. I know many other users have been having withdrawal issues for the past month or so, but the situation with BTCLend itself has completely imploded onto itself within the past week.

I can't believe there aren't ANY posts here on the forums about this SCAM lending website. I am by no means a long-time BTCLend user, hopefully someone who has more experience with BTCLend can chime in.

What can we do? Is everyone who used BTCLend just screwed? Is there anyway to legally go after the CEO? It is fairly common knowledge who he is, but I will refrain from identifying him myself and leave that to others if they so choose.....

Surprise, surprise...  I do believe opining about this "business" a while back...

I have been finding all kinds of dirt on BTCLend, including the links you posted. It is obvious there were warning signs for quite some time. I am just surprised there is not a more accessible and visible active discussion about the recent and current events at BTCLend. With a Google search a lot of this stuff was a little buried.

I am definitely not the person who should be leading this discussion, but hopefully I can at least start a dialogue here....

Is there any legal recourse? Are we all just screwed?

I'm not a customer so I can't help much, but you should start with digging up your contract, if there is one. Is there anything that you signed/clicked on/etc beyond the horribly formatted "Terms": https://btclend.org/Landing/terms.html

Do you have any contact information for BTCLend LLC or any of its principals, other than e-mail addresses?

Depending on the size of your loss you might want to talk to a lawyer but your chances of recovering anything are probably very slim.
