Thank you everybody for confirming my suspicious and helping me out figuring what was wrong. I still believe, however, that one thing is to ignore a board due to numerous reasons, but having the ability to still follow (and see) threads created by ourselves would make sense from a forum/user perspective.

I guess I'll leave this thread open to see/read other users opinions about this.

Really at first glance, it doesn't seem to make sense. But the logic is quite simple.
If you ignore a board, it means you won't create topics or post there either. So in reality everything works fine.

It is true that the system could handle this list of topics differently for its OP. However, this would require deeper changes to the forum software. I believe it is not very feasible to make these changes. Maybe @PowerGlove can see if they can make any changes in this regard.

You can follow threads started by yourself with this link
https://bitcointalk.org/gettopics.php?user=1681586

You don't have many threads to follow but if you want to focus on a board, you can use this one for Games & Rounds board.

EDIT: Come to think of it, I do have Games & Rounds on my ignore board preferences.
This is something that confused me a lot, many times LOL
When you have a board in ignore you will not see anything from that board. If you have many boards in ignore then the forum become an easy platform for you to explore.

EDIT: Come to think of it, I do have Games & Rounds on my ignore board preferences. If this is indeed the reason, wouldn't it still make sense to have the topics appear in my history considering that I was the one that created them? One thing is to want to ignore a particular board, but considering that I was the one that created the topic, I would have interest in following that particular topic of discussion.
It really is the reason, that's how ignoring board works, this is the same on giving merits on thread/topic/reply on the ignored board.

However if you want to follow and keep getting notified on such thread, telegram bot by Tryninja is the only way while i don't know if the forum email notification will work if you use the notification button on topics in ignored boards.

Yes, that's the reason! The ignore board preferences function is designed to completely filter out content from those boards, including topics you created.

While you may have a point about wanting to easily see all your created topics, there's a trade-off to consider. Since the search feature allows you to list topics from any member (by changing the uid in the URL), including topics from ignored boards would defeat the purpose of the ignore function. Besides, I don't think there are many members who create topics in ignored boards on a regular basis.

I see the posts that you made in the list from the link.
And mine look OK too.

Can you try from a different browser? And if you log out do you see them?

Having taking another small hiatus from the forum, I was interested in knowing the developments on a certain topic that I had created. At first when I first clicked on the option[1] that is described in the thread title, I wasn't able to find the topic that I was looking for (It was related to the second edition of the pie baking contest).

My first though was that they were deleted but I didn't received an e-mail about it so I instantly ignored that suspicion. I then decided to manually look for them and I actually found them right where they should be[2][3][4].

I instantly came here to see if this error was reported but wasn't able to find anything. I did find some patches that were applied in the recent weeks that I do not know if may have had an impact on the ability to link topics to user ID's (congrats on another good set of improvements by the way @PowerGlove). It seems that the posts that I created between July 2023 and April 2024 are not linked to my profile despite existing on the forum.

Anybody else with this problem?
