I like the baby bullion idea.  You can buy
1/10 th oz gold & silver rounds so this is in the same spirit

@elambert

Erika will not make it here, thank goodness. It looks like Hispanola took it's toll on her and provided she doesn't re-form in the Gulf......

I am a small-time 'hobby' CBX miner and although it may not be the best way to acquire shares, it keeps me interested and out of trouble. Will we get ample heads-up when the change is made to PoSP so I don't waste the time or energy to continue the mining operation?

Thank You

Morning CBXers, just invested in a little more CBX, should get around 10 a month (minimum) staking 24/7 which is comparable to my mining effort now Cheesy

Hi FiniteRed, good news, congrats!

Update:
We are in the early development stages of a CBX P2P Faucet project that will promote CBX exposure to a much broader audience that even Bitcoin is not reaching at the present. The brainstorming stages of this project have identified a couple of prerequisites that I would like to announce now:

1. CBX will be adding a mobile wallet. We are in the resource allocation stage for this now and weighing the options of building this in-house as opposed to outsourcing. Community feedback, experience and opinions on this are welcomed - I know CBX will not be breaking new ground here so interested in learning from any previous experiences (good and bad) that have occurred.

2. The need for a new unit designation to offset the natural negative association people have with fractions. The P2P Faucet project will increase CBX exposure via a mobile wallet download distribution strategy. The mobile vault downloaded by new adopters/users will come with a small starting balance of 10 Baby Bullion (equivalent of 0.1 CBX). We have decided to add nomenclature to the soon to be released Vault that will identify 0.01 CBX as 1 Baby Bullion (or BB for short). 1 CBX will be equivalent to 100 Baby Bullions.

Thats it for now, hope all have a great weekend. Preparing for Erika here in Florida.

Looking forward to it being fully implemented
Great concept.  Let's see if it sticks

It certainly will stick  Grin

On another note, we are organizing a giveaway to assist with exposure of the new forum. Suggestions on how best to accomplish this are welcome.

POS only nowadays, POW over.

This is not true. CBX is still a hybrid - both PoS and PoW. Not sure about active mining pools but hopefully some of the miners chime in here to assist?

PoS only will occur once the PoSP algorithm is implemented (scheduled for 4th quarter of 2015) - so the PoW miners still have some time.

if it ain't broke
don't fix it!

srsly CBX is 1 of very few functional hybrids
and the POW side gets nearly nothing inflation wise

so why mess with a good thing?

You know, I really used to love mining cryptocoins; mining coins is exciting but unfortunately it stays economically worthwhile only for a small window of time, right after a coin has gone up in value. Then a whole bunch of people jump in and make it not profitable anymore.

The bottom line PoW CBX is generating right now does not create enough value for it to be interesting to enough miners to provide the network security we want. So not only we aren't getting the targetted security, then there is the general principle that PoW is wasteful in energy; so essentially it was time for CBX to bite the bullet and make some fair and creative changes on how mining CBX occurs.

So, from running a small farm and very much enjoying PoW mining, I went to wholeheartedly agreeing to the proposed (and, actively being worked on) PoSP algorythm... No other coin has this approach, and with this CBX finds iself ahead of the pack once more.

I have added a section in Spanish language in our forum; my Spanish is not so bad but we need a real fluent speaker of the Spanish language to moderate and comment on this new thread!!! Please PM me!

A: The notion of proof of work is fundamentally flawed (natural drift towards centralised mining, high barrier of entry for anyone wanting to participate)

B: The move to PosP will result in an increase in CBX blockchain security of many orders of magnitude of what it is currently

C: In this climate / market place you either innovate and pull ahead or stagnate and get left behind

D: The fundamentals of CBX are not changing, the inflation rate will stay the same but more to a far superior method of securing the network

All in all CBX is living up to its true potential by implementing PosP, the more people who stake it (encouraged by minimal associated costs) the stronger and more resilient the CBX network will become. One of the main reasons CBX has held its value lately is due to the approaching singularity that is PosP Smiley

CBX made it to the #1 spot on Bter!

https://bter.com/voting

Congratulations to everyone that made it happen, well done guys.

Yes, thank you everyone; we have done it!  We will now contact Bter with this established fact in mind and ask them to fulfill their part of the deal, which is to include CBX in their trading platform...

In the meantime, please let's not stop the voting; because unfortunately someone is very methodically downvoting us, and I anticipate that this phenomenon will get worse over time until we finally trade in China.

Excellent work all! This appeared to be such an insurmountable task at the outset... and then with the obstacle of having to start again from zero due to the rebranding... Let this be a testament to the strength and commitment of the CryptoBullion family! As VonSpass said, lets keep the pedal to the metal and keep the upvoting pressure on!

Yeah...I checked those. #3 on the list isn't there, #2 on the list is DEAD, #1 does work but I'm the sole miner on the site...oh well, maybe I'll get lucky. lol  Also, I'm confused as to the coin designation. The pools list it as CGB, but my wallet says it's CGX. Can someone clarify?

Thanks

CGB comes from Cryptogenic Bullion CGB, which used to be it's name, now it's rebranded CryptoBullion CBX.
Someone else will have to help with mining info.

Thank you....I got my mining working too. It was a problem on their site.

Good luck!!

Thanks for the replies. I'm still wanted to get in on CBX mining if someone could point me to a pool, Please. I'm small-time and not a farm. I know sometimes that helps to know so you miners don't think I'm coming in to over-power anyone. Responses?

Thank You

There's a few listed here: http://cryptobullion.io/resources/
They are not active? At least the first 2 seem to be.
