Hello all,
It has been just over one week since the re-branding of Crypto Bullion and the associated release of the new Vault (client/wallet). This has been an extremely proud time for the CBX team as much hard work and time has gone into preparation and development to get to this point. I hope that the community feels good about the rebirth of CBX and the capabilities of the core team leading this change. Special thanks and credit to raizor for coming into this project some months ago and ascending to the lead developer role - we are fortunate to have you!
We would also like to take the time to thank the community that has stood behind this project since the beginning as well as to thank the newcomers, you are appreciated and valued! Should any of you be interested in assisting with taking CBX to the next level and beyond, please reach out. The main goals for CBX are to continue innovative and technical development and to provide ease of use for all. These 2 goals in tandem we are confident will lead to the ultimate goal of mainstream acceptance. Make no mistake, these goals
will be reached, but can occur quicker when supported by a community. Everything from artistry, coding to promoting and everything in-between is helpful so please get involved.
Back to the new Vault. Would love to hear more feedback from the community on this release - both positive and negative. This is a work in progress and will continue to evolve with new features and ease of use.
- How is the startup time improvement?
- Do you like the new look?
- Has anyone tried multisig?
- Bullion control??
- Any issues or bugs?
- What new features and functionality would you like to see?
In a related note, thank you to BitcoinFX for identifying a small bug in the Vault that does not allow the user to change the encryption
passphrase while the wallet is locked. The 'OK' button to confirm this function is missing in the current release when the wallet is locked. This has already been fixed in the source code and will be released in the
packaged builds soon. Additionally, BitcoinFX reported experiencing compatibility issues with the new client and an old wallet.dat. This
was resolved by using the dumpprivkey command for extracting the funds from the old wallet and then importing to the new wallet via the importprivkey command. If you encounter this issue and need assistance with the outlined resolution, please reach out and we will be happy to assist.
Lastly raizor is currently looking into the possibility of incorporating vanity address generation directly into the Vault as well as implementation of merged PoW mining.
More to come...

p.s. Lent has begun today. If you are still searching for creative ideas of what to give up for the next 40 days, may I suggest giving up selling CBX. You will feel much better in 6 weeks
