Posts are only merged if they are posted back-to-back by the OP while replies to other users are posted as separate posts so it won't create any trash posts nor would look messy. It's like this thread: https://xenforo.com/community/resources/wmtech-double-post-merge.833/. This makes it easier for the users bumping within 24 hours.

Posts are merged manually here which is time-consuming and unnecessary work for the staff.
Great source. Thanks. What I meant is even with tools, post merging should be done manually, because I doubt that tools can differentiate between posts of OP to update their projects (like announcements on wallet upgrades, exchange listings, product releases, and so on), and replies of OP to questions from their projects' community members. It's too hard for tools to completely automatic merge posts.
Consequently, it is the best if OPs fully know their rights in the forum, and forum rules.

Automatically merging posts (in one thread, and by OP) published within 24 hours might result in trash posts. Some posts are updates; rest of posts probably to answer questions of users in that thread. I don't think this feature can work appropriately.
Project developers who start ANN threads should read forum rules and Welcome message to manage their threads and their accounts better.
I do remember that I received a message from forum staff that my two posts in one thread merged into one by that staff. That is great enough.

We just want to inform this thread that actions have already been taken by the moderator for the “bump” report we have received yesterday. Thank you for calling us out and we appreciate all your inputs. It is not our intention to ignore the forum rules and we would like to apologize for making multiple posts yesterday due to an activity held for our users.
I personally did not expect you to know all the rules however whenever you get time, my suggestion will be to spend some times in this board. You will see lot's of issues are posting by users and from them you will learn about the culture. Also read the unofficial forum rules however I do understand that it's not always easy to keep all of them in mind unless you become regular in the forum and see things are happening everyday.

Now for the time being, if you need to post anything new that has not been posted in the post that you have made in less than 24 hours, my suggestion will be to edit the post and add whatever you want to add but after 24 hours you are free to make another post if you want. Keep doing this and you will be fine. Also you are free to make another post any time once someone make a post after your last post. It's just not good when you are making two post in a row.

Welcome to the community. Feel free to PM me or make any post here or anywhere to seek help from the veteran forum users.

Cheers :-)

Well done, just keep those two rules in mind, and don't violate them, then you will be fine. If you have more things to update per day, that not pops up at once, you should use Edit button, and avoid making multiple posts (many posts in-a-row). Admin emphasized about that usecase of Edit button, in Writing a welcome message. No one will report you, certainly.
13. Bumps, "updates" are limited to once per 24 hours.[2]

21. Old bumps should be deleted. [2]
Common rule violations

These are the most common rule violations that newbies make. There are other rules than these.

  • Plagiarism: If you copy some text from somewhere, then you should have a good reason for it, and you must link to the source. Doing otherwise is plagiarism. Changing a few words around doesn't matter. If we find that you plagiarized, then you absolutely will be permanently banned, even if we find it years after you did it.
  • Multi-posting: Do not post twice in a row in a topic. Instead, edit your old post.
  • Low-content posts: Do not post low-content garbage like "agreed!", "nice project!", etc. You can be banned for this, and it's also pointless if you want to increase your rank, since you will never get merit for such posts.
Thank you. We will keep that in mind!

Bump in every 24 Hour is Allowed.

So nothing wrong with User FeeCoin24 expect days like July 31 & 28 where he posted twice in 24 hours.

I'm surprised that a representative of one of the most popular exchange is doing this
, he does not know the rules, Kucoin better fire this guy for abused and they should get a better and knowledgeable representative, who knows how to read forum guidelines before posting.
You don't expect them to know the forum rules. For them this may be just another forum. For example: Today I signed up in a new forum. I had no clue what to do then I asked the person where and how to find the appropriate section for posting the ad I was suppose to post. Without the help of that person I would be lost.

After looking at the profile of KuCoin Exchange I feel that he/she is as ignorant as I was in the other forum. May be someone can help them to understand the forum rules and also how the mod enforce it. Also tell them it can also harm their reputation.

Then we should remind them that there are forum rules that they need to follow in this community.

"Ignorance of the law forum rules excuses no one".

So let's wait for the admin/mods to do their job.

This.

Mostly, members are fast to jump on the boat and accuse whenever someone does something against the forum rules.

There are two unoffcial rules on thread's bumping. Consequently, if thread owners keep bumping their threads more than once per day, without answers from other users. It is surely they bump their threadds, and not make new posts to answer anyone else. It is obviously a kind of violation of rules #13, and #21.
I knew at least one project, LOKI, has their developer account banned due to bump their ANN thread more than once per day. When banned, there is no acceptable excuse.

Unfortunately SMF does not have such feature by default.

I don't know if it has been implemented or not.

No God or Kings, only BITCOIN.
Absolutely!
If I am not wrong then theymos once was working on a post or something for the Newbies. Seems like that project is dead already. :-P
It was a welcome message that let newbies know the rules and regulations of the forum, once you are set and signed up that message will be the one to be read. That's something good especially to those really wanted to navigate and want to stay on the long run in the forum but to those who just want to shitpost, you know it they'll just ignore it.

That idea I guess was lit and somehow that for the betterment of those who are noobs here. I don't know if it has been implemented or not.

Bumping threads within 24 hours is not allowed on most (infact all except entertainment/news-related) forums so I don't think the member aware of this. He/she chose to be ignorant.

Forum rules should be more accessible. Welcome message would do wonders. Then, at least, users can't feign ignorance. Smiley

This is not allowed.
Reports are also not handled immediately. It usually takes roughly a day for all my reports of the previous day to be fully (or almost completely) handled.
