Lol. The blockchain runs on whopper burger sales. One burger every ten seconds so one coin every ten seconds. So how long to make 1 billion burgers ? xP

as my understanding it is like a reward points system that every time you buy whopper you will receive whoppercoin that you can suddenly exchange into their item. I cant say that this will be a currency, it is like in 7 eleven that they have they so called reward card that everytime you buy you will received a points and you can redeem item using it. Burger king Gen. Director say that they will just test the system first so it have a 50-50 that they will release some of this son. BUT for me it is a good news as the growing adoption of crypto are being test in some physical store. Thanks for sharing!

It is not a surprise when everyone is jumping on the cryptocurrency trend. Besides creating a token inside a wave platform is kinda easy 
. What I like on these concept is that this coins serves as points whenever they bought whooper burger. Kinda loyalty reward

interesting move, this will promote the use of cryptocoins. the crypto coins provides a lot flexibility in the usage as compared to the cash.

Representatives of Burger King fast food restaurants, who have recently announced the launch of a new cryptocurrency “Whoppercoin”, have been called in to the prosecutor's office in Moscow to explain the nature of their digital currency and how it works.
According to a representative of Burger King, prosecutors reminded that only operations in rubles are legal in Russia, and asked them to write an official statement that the company did not conduct a mass issue of "Whoppercoins."
Burger King has announced that it is now offering its own cryptocurrency, launched on the Waves blockchain platform, in August 2017.

Waves it's pretty good and awesome platform I seen in cryptoworld it's quit easy to create token inside waves platform even it charges some waves to create token if venture like Burger King create coins inside waves it will surely increase waves value based on transaction.

Associating crypto in fastfood chains is really a good idea and convenient as well especially for people you are capable of paying them thru coins. If this will truly push, and this news really holds some Truth, then it's a good way to introduce crypto world to a lot of people since burger king is a known fastfood chain. And this news will truly pump some waves.

Hmmm... Interesting idea. This must be good since burger king is one of the most popular fast food chain in the world. This is the sign that Waves market is alive competing with bigger markets like Bitcoin and Ethereum and i know this is just the beginning. I know Waves has the potential to compete with huge markets because the platform is very interesting to investors.

I understand that waves is very popular in Russia. But it needs a popularity in other countries as well. Asians and Europeans have more money than Russians to pump the coin

It is really good to hear that kind of news about waves platform. Waves platform is getting more popular day by day and even big companies aware about waves. I am sure after a few months many big companies will use tokens based on waves platform. And there will be so many of them so we will not be able to open new topics for each one

It's possible but most probably only big companies will have their own cryptocurrency. Not all company affords to create a new cryptocurrency of their own or not all company can hire one to create a coin. I really hope those who wont create their own crypto will use other coins present in the market today so that many of the cryptocurrency coins who are not used in real life today will be used in the future. As badass it would be to pay for your Whooper with Bitcoin, wouldn't the fees associated with the transaction be a big incentive not to go through with the transaction?
