Burst is a really good idea, actually.
Since it doesn't use much power, it's much more environmentally friendly than having a ton of ASIC miners drawing huge amounts of power.

This might be important in the future if we want the average person to be able to generate coins, and not be forced to rely on local fiat systems.
As it stands right now, the average person can not become a Bitcoin miner, so the dream of freeing people from fiat currency through BTC is not going to happen.
If we keep developing technology that allows the average person to become a miner, this is a dream that actually might be possible.

I think that theorically, you can, but given the low amount of data you can store on it, it's totally not worth it.

I don't think phones are capable of mining still what are the requirements for mining burst coins on phone, any software to install?

I'm the wrong person to ask.  But go here https://forums.burst-team.us

and ask.  Community is very friendly and helpful.
At least you could have told me what client or software would be required to install to get started anyway thanks for your answer and the link to burst coin community

I will not suggest to do mining with your smartphone. This will just destroy your phone. It will overheat and worst, even eplode. Besides you need a high specification of smartphone for better mining. Also mining cant give you decent profit. So, dont even try it. Its not worth it. You will cry in the end.

You are missing the point of all BURST mining ...it uses free HDD space ...it does not use the resources of your computer/phone.  It is very eco friendly/green.  As I've stated I haven't done android mining but current have a desk top and lap top (both with external hard drives) mining...the power consumptionot is essentially the same as having your computer on.  You can mine in the background and do anything else on your computer and not notice.

As for android phones , would you really sacrifice your phone storage for 0.1$ per month ?
Use my phone for does faucet job. It will better compare with mining is worth for $0.1 a month.
May I think for throw my phone at the time caused by over heat.

Anyone here done it?

Obviously you won't get rich just doing it, but seems like a cool little application  (mine on your phone).

Any feedback?

If there is I don't think it's profitable, some android phone can't hold 1 tb of space,I think Burst is for computer only ,this is a user friendly coin ,you don't need an asic miner or a high spec gpu to mine,I'm hoping this will be one of the to coin in the future.

Android/phone mining definitely exists ...I just haven't done it yet.  Obviously it would be small, but it's a good way for someone new to get into BURST potentially.

BURST in general (I think someone was asking?) is very easy to mine with free HDD space.

Only way design an app that does something else on the phone and turn all users into your personal burst miners as the price instead of annoying ads. Does it use much resource and bw at all ? not looked into burst mining for a long time.

I don't think BURST mining on is profitable even on PC. If you already have storage then yeah but if you want to invest not really. As for android phones , would you really sacrifice your phone storage for 0.1$ per month ?

Burst is more profitable mining it on computer than android, the difficulty is now high that you need 1 tb to mine in profit and I don't think any android phone has that storage. If you cannot mine Burst why not invest in their asset exchange, they are also profitable..

I don't think most phones are going to have the amount of hard drive space you need to make any real money.
You need Terabytes of space to make even a few cents worth of coins.
32/ 64 GB of hard drive space probably isn't going to find you many deadlines.

and that's why we need a clone of burst that rely on speed and not size of the HDD, so everyone with a phone can try to mine it at least, i'm surprised that there are no clone yet doing this, it would also go against hdd cloud

I understand that...I'm already mining BURST on my computer with additional external hard drives.

It's a nice little application (potentially)...just wondering people's experience who have used the android mining.
