The hash rate is comparable, the price is comparable.  The only real difference is power consumption.

The 5 GH Jalapeno:  30-40 watts

2 x Blue Fury:  5 watts

Also, the Jalapeno fan is loud.

(I have Jalapeno and Blue Fury units)

Need a miner that can break-even in less then 3 months.... after 3 months it is likely that the electricity cost is higher then what we get...
Nearly nothing but alien technology will ever RIO, most of the 26nm chip miners aren't available at the moment, and will most likely ship late december/early january. You had to be some of the early miners WHO ordered asics to get any reasonable RIO.

You can get 10ghs for 1BTC at Cex.io or the same 5ghs as the Jalapeno for .5BTC.
and you can sell your ghs back at anytime and get some coin back. What are you gonna do with the Jally and the Blue Fury in 6 months. If you dont have a fat wallet for KNC Jupiter or similar 400 + big boy miner. IMHO, your are better off just buying coin or ghs.

I have two Jallys and 12 BE's in hindsight, I would have been much better off just buying coin and holding. If you are determined to buy some hardware, You can buy mine. Make me an offer. One Two jallys one 5ghs, one 8ghs.

A few months ago I paid 500 dollar for 6 BE's I consider that by tuition University of Bitcoin Mining and now I know not to buy overprice gear with pretty blinking lights. But my ass still hurts a bit.

I am confused, you said you learned not to overpay, and you are suggesting he pays $44 a GH from CEX.IO?

For $27 a Gh you can buy Fried Cats new cube craps

+1 ... that is a tad expensive... lol.

Butterfly Labs 5Ghps is good if send quick

Quick for BFL could mean 6 to 12 months.

Go for a couple Blue Fury's. Butterfly Labs does not deserve the business of this community.

+1

Never buy anything directly from BFL. Pain is the only guaranteed return on your investment.

Hello Friends,

I have an opportunity to buy one of the following devices, used and in hands:

- Butterfly Labs 5Ghps at $250;

- or 2 Blue Fury at $120 each.

My current rig is made by only 4 USB Eruptors.

Would you suggest me to buy the Butterfly Labs or the Blue Fury?

Thanks!

Both sucks, why not get those 1-2 TH/s which is going to come out soon..

http://mining.thegenesisblock.com/  Price for that 1 - 2 Th/s?

Although you make a better choice buying hash from cex instead but I must warn you that It is overpriced as at current...

Thanks a lot for all your replies. I followed some of your tips and I created an account on Cex and bought 14 GHps.

Prices kinda are kinda high on Cex.io but still a better value per GHs than Blue Fury or Block Erupters.
I am look for an opportunity to sell my shares back and buy in lower.

I got a better story. About 4 months ago I almost purchased 13 GHs Asic Blade. The guy at the last moment sold it to someone else who was willing to give me more than the 43 BTC I offered. I would have never got ROI on that deal and go luck. I can't imagine those who paid over 50 BTC to Friedcat, what their ROI is on them.

It's really up to you. The BFL takes up more space and creates noise (as it needs fans) but it is more powerful.
The Blue Fury is cheaper. More energy efficient and makes no noise.

Blue or Red Fury... in stock easy choice there unless you are buying a used BFL unit. Think power consumption and noise minimal with the Blue/Red Fury's as well.
