this is shilling to the maximum levels Cheesy
He fingered the US government in front of the camera with live feed, there are no such opportunities and if there are, it's only one in a billion to be at the right place and time to do this thing, albeit you'd need a pair of steel balls to ignite a fire in the hornets nest, only if there were no forking and 1st of Aug was just another routine days like all other days, we still could see some crowd coming in new, hopefully 50 people each invest $500M by next week. lol

There is trouble abrewing
-snipped-

Hahaha how did I miss this one, this guy just had to put his public key and I am sure people would have donated to him madly, cause he would need all for the law suits, jail and retirement plans. One thing is now I am waiting for trump to tweet this and say let's make America great again, let's accept bitcoin. If he signals his support, it shall be massive if the world super power was to accept it. That would be insane.

haha, read a couple of other posts. it seems like this person already did that. but not on camera. i think he later on posted that picture (the real one not the scammy fake one) on his twitter and last time i checked his bitcoin address it had about 600 transactions of total of 6BTC Cheesy

Idiot if you ask me, no offense but what kind of government employee does such a thing? some professional courtesy would be great, I believe he only did it for the fame without thinking first of the consequences, lets say he'll get $50,000 as donations/gifts what then, he has lost his job and a life time career worth at least half a million dollars, at least write Bitcoin to da moon or something. lol I guess if Trump finds him he'll shake his hands like crazy people.

Is this your address? Because the address from the original picture is "1GwtZF9QFKWNqCRHLx1Y9adGcrhQSUnNfY".
Are you really photoshopping your own address to try to make a few bucks? That's what scammers do.

Nice catch, love to quote it and save this picture, lol.
This man really have courage to do such things as he could be ended be charged by legal authority, and he was dismissed from his office yesterday?
But, at least he made good profit through that events as; As for the sign holder, he apparently turned a nice profit either way. After this picture of him holding his bitcoin address was posted on Twitter, he reportedly received donations of more than $10,000 worth of bitcoin:

Are you scamming? You seem a bit irate.

Scam thread started regarding this move by whistle11. If it's a genuine mistake (i'm sure yours is not the only fake picture floating around) announce as such in the scam thread and we'll have it resolved and closed. Mistakes happen, but you gotta own up to it.

ROFL. I'm irate because someone is trying to scam people and looks like I'm the only one researching a bit before sharing a photoshopped picture with the intent of scamming people. And even after posting proofs, this guy above seems to lack the ability to read.

No wonder someone got 600k in 3 days with the fake MEW pishing scam. People are just dumb.

I'm done with you guys.

but it is a simply qr, where is the original pic? i got it in a telegram channel

The original picture was posted by @CryptoEthan on twitter. He claimed the guy from the picture is his real-life friend.

Later he deleted the tweet:
"Sorry all, I was asked to delete the tweet for employer reasons." - https://twitter.com/CryptoEthan/status/885224174431744001

But he keeped this tweet with the address:
https://twitter.com/CryptoEthan/status/885209200825073665

The one you are sharing and a lot of newbies will start sharing is from a scammer who PHOTOSHOPPED his own address on the original picture.

ORIGINAL ADDRESS FROM THE GUY WITH THE SIGN: 1GwtZF9QFKWNqCRHLx1Y9adGcrhQSUnNfY
(he already got more than 4 BTC)

 Huh where the original picture?
I just edited my previous post with the original picture.
I hope you just made a mistake and got the fake picture from the real scammer without knowing you were sharing the wrong one.

haha.. next rich man

This was an awesome prank because it both advertises bitcoin to the world while also potentially making the guy wealthy. I wish I had an opportunity like this. He made the most of the opportunity and deserves any money he gets. Hopefully he won't get into trouble.

OK, Zero Hedge has it up, and now bitcointalk.

I guess it's already "gone viral".  Let's keep this going.  The more the merrier.

I'll put this on my Joke List and maybe FB.

"All publicity is good publicity" is certainly true in this case!

My friends sent it to me from zerohedge as well.  That was hilarious.  Good man for doing it on TV Smiley

This reminds me of the guy who held up a Bitcoin sign with his QR code at the Superbowl and made a fortune from donations. It went viral on Reddit, so just think of how much he made.
I wonder how much this guy would have made if he put his QR code on there. My bet is over $1,000,000 in the long run.
