Buying an ICO is good especially when you buy into idea instead of buying to sell for quick profit. Buying on the exchange has it's advantage as well. You just have to look for what is in your best interest and take decision accordingly.

I also prefer to buy ICOs when they are on the exchange, because I can buy them at very cheap prices, but there is a problem if buying ICOs that have entered the stock exchange, often the ICO price is difficult to increase the price, one of the weaknesses of ICO is dump more often than pump.

Yes it’s the strategy that many of us has started to use as It is happening with almost all the ICOs these days...but if u look at pre-sale the price is way too low so that time is the best but also risk involves at that time because u don’t know how this project gonna do ahead

100% wait and do not buy the ICO.  ICO has been getting murdered lately.  It has been much wiser to wait until after ICO and buy after the crash for huge discounts.

equally good. but usually when ico takes place, we don't know for sure the exchange rate in the market. whereas when we buy when it's launched in the market, sometimes we regret when the exchange rate is better. so the conclusion, I suggest buying when ico is opened.

It is my friend. Altcoin nowadays changes the price below ICO because it was being dumped by investors or bounty hunters. That is one of.the things that ICO should resolved because the story keeps repeating on all ICOs. These ICO should pay their bounty hunters in either ETH or BTC to minimize the price dump. The most affected person with these type of dump are the investors and i will not be surprise why most ICO is not hitting their hardcap. If you decided to buy that altcoins after getting listed to an exchange, that is the smartest decision you will do as an investor.

My current strategy is to get a lot of profit by buying coins in exchange when all the bounty hunters sell it so that the price of the coin goes down, that is the right time to buy coins.

Hi guys, as we can see and observed recently that many ICOs go below the ICO price when it hits the exchange. Do you think it is a smart move to wait to the exchange and buy the token you want?
Here you will never guess where the coin will fly, after it is released on the stock exchange. It can be either a flight up or a flight down. But unfortunately recently, many coins are flying down, so buying after its release on the stock exchange is probably better at the moment than buying during the ICO.

Of course if that ICO have a special offer for token holders who participated on their ICO. This time with bearish market the better option is buy on exchange.

One of the most excellent options to buy tokens from exchange than through participation in ICO. And it is convenient, and without any problems and KYC (if it is required). Sometimes I use this method of buying through exchanges.

Not every single project gain a raise for their token after the ICO phase, nor all of them end up getting down from where they start. Doing some research about the project would give you a slight idea whether it is worth the investment in its early days or not, but even if you do that, it still involves the risk of losing a percentage of your investment if the price drops down after hitting the exchanges.
So if you are really ready to take risks, then it is probably better investing in ICOs as they are said to be very profitable sometimes, but if you are very much afraid of losing your money then you better wait for it to come to the open and then you decide what you should do.

But if every body do that than no ine will invest in icos which will lead to the ico failure and then the coin will never enter the exchanges.

If you won't hold that token much or you are looking for a quick flip, exchange is not a good option except binance. You can buy tokens if you are sure about they are gonna list on binance and you can make some money with that pump.
And token lock is important too. Presale with good bonus is an option but it has to be release with public sale. Otherwise you can't sell your tokens.

In 2017, many would advise to buy them at ico. And in the same place, many projects collected hardcap in the first minutes of their ico and closed so quickly that many simply did not have time to go into it. And now things are very different than last year the trend has changed. In the beginning, it is necessary to wait until the ico is over and wait for the sale from the bounderhans to be purchased at the very bottom if the project is very promising and there is some sense in it.

buy it at ICO, because you will get a big bonus if you buy it at ICO and when the coin enter in exchange, I suggest to sell it immediately. because the coin price will immediately go down when entering the exchange.

This time i can say that although of the bonus during ICO, when listing on exchanges we still buy with the better price, compare with ICO's price and bonus. But you can consider buying tokens in ICO if they have a loyalty or other policy for the token holder who bought before listing exchanges.

It's better to delay first to buy a coin that has just finished doing ico, it's good to do research on 100 coins registered in the CMC.

Just wait for a week or month after listing on exchanges so that we can see purchase power clearly to make a buying decision .

Depending on the market, people can make decisions. If an ICO project is active during the uptrend period, consider investing the day from the beginning, but when it comes to downtrend, people should wait for the token listed on the exchanges to consider investing because just one mistake, the loss will happen
