i think it is hared to say what to do now , buy or sell , as nobody knows what will happen in the next few months.
but i think that bitcoins now are getting higher to their highest ranks, so it may cause some problems with governments in some countries.
we can wait and see, and don't worry,even if it's price go down it will not be a big lose.
so just wait for a while.

So my initial plan was to invest more into bitcoin on a weekly basis but with the possibility of a split on August 1st I figured I'd wait a little. If there would be a split, there would certainly be a drop in price so maybe a good opportunity to pick some more up rather than doing it now. Normally I tend to make these kind of decisions for myself but since I don't fully understand what will happen August 1st I figured this would be the best place to ask.
There will be no split on August first.
If you are going to buy bitcoins, I suggest that you buy some before the activation of segwit on August. Maybe a week before August. Bitcoin's price is expected to drop at that time because of some people who might panic sell some coins because they are afraid of the uncertainties about the upcoming event. After the activation, the price will go up.
I am waiting because i am a bit lost this days, and a lot more pessimist. so i will see what do after, or maybe sold everthing before 
Do not sell your bitcoins before or even for a few years because selling will not help you to become rich and it will just cut the connection of you and also the opportunity of getting rich. Just hold on and keep dreaming for a higher price because it is better than worrying about the price and also for selling bitcoin, there is no better than patience because it always pays off.The improvement in increment of its worth is in front of everyone. Wait to buy is never a good option from my experience. The best thing to do is buy a bit at time; small amounts when price is relatively high, bigger amounts when we experience a drop, hold and watch when the price is really high.
For now I see the price going down soon before the fork, that will be a good time to buy a bit more. Also after the fork we might see different scenarios, but we sure hope it will go to the moon

Be careful buying before august first i already converted BTC to some really promising and very low value alt coins some are waves , LBTC and NEM/Xem . If august first hard fork happens there is a possibility of split of chain Like ETC and ETH.

The bitcoin price is currently dumping right now. It's the best time to buy bitcoins and invest! Don't wait for August to buy bitcoins. I'm currently hoarding bitcoins as much as possible.
If the price of bitcoin is decreasing it will be the best time to buy more bitcoin. You can check bitcoin value first before buying. So that if the time comes that bitcoin increases again, well that is good for you. Goodluck buying bitcoins. ☺
That's right, August first isn't necessarily Dday for bitcoin. The market is very manipulated, if you have been watching it closely you can see how easy it can go up and down by 100/few hundred dollars, buys and sells are setup within the .01 range and they let them go when and how they want to make the price go up or down.

I will not wait because the price of bitcoin will not dump again, as we can see the strong price of btc now. I will buy more right after when it declared safe to do so, bitcoin will surely soar high and people should get involve into it.
I will wait for the movement and what will happen to bitcoin. At this time I still dare not take action because the news is still confusing and there are many possibilities that will happen. I might wait until 1 week before that date. I will do the analysis and make a decision at the right time.
I appreciate your strategy and will suggest you to wait till the seqwit thing are done. I feel that there is going to be a tremendous change in the prices of bitcoins. All lower prices are going to take a huge leap, leaving investors with huge profits. 
You should buy or not depending if you are a long term holder or not. IMO is too risked wait and see what happens before buy.
How it is risk I mean I’m not getting I need some proper knowledge to know that I would like to say that I would definitely wait for your reply or if you are not replying so I would should need to go for Google because it would be more helpful but people are having experience so getting from to know from them we should wait for these type of reply. As a crypto currency trader I would recommend not to buy this time because it's already got good value around 2700$ and also we are not sure about chain split so wait till first week of august.
