If buying Bitcoin with a credit card is not an urgent need, I would say you can buy it from a local client. It is safe and affordable at the same time. Moreover, not all countries have bitcoin legalization. In addition, you can check if your card is prepaid or not. Because many platforms do not support prepaid cards.

Buying with a credit card you pay higher fee but it still makes sense when you need it done fast or buy a small amount. Besides, there shouldn't be KYC if you buy from the service you already bought from. At least this is how it works for me when I buy from Ownr wallet, I pretty sure it's similar for most services.

be really carefull when buying on shady exchanges or websites with credit card, specially for crypto
I'd recommend going only to big known exchanges websites like binance, crypto.com, paxful or uphold for this kind of buy.

remember to use risk management too and don't buy more than you can afford to loose.
I would actually rather prefer buying from a local seller via Localbitcoins because I know them and if any problems occurs I can always contact them. But these websites that offer purchase with credit card are risky. Yes, Binance I can trust if they offer such services because they are a established exchange but these new websites that are coming in the market and offering such are never the best option.

Also but main reason is the fees right?  Because if no fee, wouldn't it make sense since lot of ppl get cashback with their credit cards?
Well, fees should not be a problem because buyer is able to pay the reasonable fees but the problem of charge back is real because one can claim he lost his card and there are unauthorized transactions being made with his card and hence resulting in the reversal of the transaction while the BTC sent cannot be reversed at all.

make sure to check extra fees and taxesfor credit cards too.
In Brazil, as an example, any purchase on credit card that is not directly made in BRL has a 6.38% IOF tax (financial operation tax). this is valid for dollars or any other currency.

it'd be usefull to know OP's country to provide more information.

Lol what type of card are you making use of that would make Binance reject your card? Is it a well-known card like MasterCard and Visa? And also you have to understand that you if the card is a local card and you’re trying to use it to buy from Binance, it’s not going to work.

In my country there are three main types of cards that we use, and only two can work on an international level; you can use them to buy from international websites, and also purchase whatever you want online, but the other one only works locally and if you try to use it on sites like Binance, it wouldn’t work.

So, check if it’s something like that. If that’s not the case, it might be a problem with your bank, or you can try using other methods to buy.

Poloniex is one such exchange that I can recommend for buying crypto using credit card. And just like with many such places which will need to partnership with payment processors there might be a fee and perhaps a minimum also. Best to search which ones give you the best of these before buying. Good luck.
Not sure about Poloniex because I haven't used that exchange for almost an year or even more since I joined Binance recently and I never felt the need to switch the exchange ever again.

I can recommend a service too which is MoonPay because they are being listed on stake.com and for those who don't know stake is the biggest casino and sportsbook in crypto so if they are suggesting a particular website for purchase of bitcoins with credit card the you should trust them. I have never used it myself though so I am not sure but surely as they are listed on stake I trust them, just that I never felt the need to buy bitcoins with card because I often use Paypal and have some fixed people who sell.

Isn't the issue with this many sites won't accept it due to chargeback?

The fees are right.

But there are these people that prefer to use their credit cards for buying bitcoin or any altcoin of their choice. I've seen good exchanges that allows this but be ready for the fees.

It's better to mention the used exchanges that won't allow this or has some problems faced upon top up.

ATM is not really needed when there is so many places online that you could buy, however credit card buying actually has a higher fee as well so I do not really understand why people want that.

The moment you make your credit card payment you are down something like 3% and that means you have to deal with bitcoin up and downs with that, why not use any exchange that does local transfers which would cost absolutely nothing so you could start with positive instead of negative?

In all seriousness I still think credit card purchasing is a bad way to go, there is no reason why people should be doing something like that, but if you really want to do Coinbase type of famous places are the only way to go, otherwise you are risking your first entry to crypto world by shady places where you give your credit card info.
Using a credit card does have a higher fee but some people like it. and bitcoin ATMs are also not needed when buying bitcoin can be done online on many platforms, especially on the P2P binance platform which will make it very easy for users to buy bitcoin and other altcoins and also include stablecoins such as USDT.

why do you have to use the hard way when there are other ways that are more flexible and more efficient and the costs required are very cheap, even the Binance p2p platform without additional fees or Zero Fee.

I think that when you want to make any transactions you have to be careful, san from the exchange you provided I prefer the Binance exchange to be the best destination for traders and investors who want to buy and sell cryptocurrencies.

I believe there are several sites where you can buy bitcoin with your credit card only that one needs to be very careful in doing this. Many of these sites are actually there to siphon one's personal details which have been submitted.
I think Coinbase accept credit cards to buy bitcoin. It is safer and requires less verification to make the purchase.
However, I believe it's best if you can find a way to buy the coins without having to use your credit card. You can actually buy peer-to-peer.

You can easily buy Bitcoins, through your credit card at Coinbase.
They too only require a small verification process that is instant also.
And Coinbase is one of the trusted compaion which you can rely upon.
Also you can connect your CC to your PayPal account and Can buy BTC for PayPal at many places.
Have a visit to Localbitcoins.com also, they too have many payment methods to purchase BTC.
Hope this helps you OP.

I would suggest you try out the debit cards being offered by platforms like Binance, Swipe or even Crypto.com cards. The reason why I suggest using such cards is because they allow you to easily make transactions with your cryptos in the real world. That's something you'll find difficult to do with cards offered by traditional financial institutions like banks.

They do come with certain benefits too. https://www.binance.com/en/cards (not* ref link).

I don't see any exchange where you can buy bitcoin but actually you may use a credit card for buying cryptocurrency in the crypto ATM, this would be possible if your country already has a cryptocureency ATM and if you have then it would be good for you, you may have a good transaction with it buying it on ATM still has a transaction fee, this fee will not leave us in any of our crypto transaction Grin.

I think the reason why you can't buy with your credit card may be because your bank or your country doesn't accept or allow you to purchase cryptocurrencies in exchanges. So the only way for you to purchase crypto or bitcoin in every exchange is to apply for a credit card in other banks that will allow you to purchase cryptocurrencies without encountering any declines problems.

I don't think it's a question of what exchange/platform is accepting credit card payments since most of them are but its a question of what credit card banks are accepting crypto purchases since not all are banks allow their clients to buy cryptocurrencies with their credit card. So maybe you should find out first if your bank allows the purchase of cryptocurrencies with your credit card before trying to find an exchange that has one.

Actually I tried Poloniex but my card was declined if I remember correctly because it has been a while when I tried it. I am myself looking for a website where I can buy bitcoins with my card without any hassles and while I would be able to pass any KYC they need, but I would like to make sure my ID is and will not be misused by them in any case so the platform has to be trusted.

Someone suggested me moonpay but even they declined my card so I am not sure if there is any provider that accepts cards from all countries and all types. If anyone reading my comment has any such website please link it, it will be a decent help as I often try and fail to purchase bitcoins and then have to buy through P2P platforms localbitcoins.
