I would personally go with the Labrador as Pitbull’s can be a little scary!
I don't like pitbull or labrador, both of them are not cute. I suggest to buy pomeranian dog, it's really the cutest dog for me.
You cannot say that Labrador is not cute when it is one of the cutest dogs.
Pomeranians are sweet but they have a lot of hair, and if you want to keep your dog into a house or an apartment this is a huge negative point that would make you think about it twice.

For me the breed is not important, any dog will do because they are good companion and can be your bestfriend too.

My grandmother has this saying, "Feed a dog, kill a dog." It's a little extreme, but the point is that dog's don't know when to stop eating. As a result, I feed my dog healthier than I feed myself.
Anyways to the original poster, if you haven't checked out Mini Bernadoodles I'd recommend one if you're looking for a hypoallergenic, well tempered and medium/small sized. My first dog was Bernadoodle and she was the best. Relatively low maintenance, they just require a bit of activity each day, maybe two small daily walks (~15 mins).

You don't really need to spend money to buy a dog. There are lots of mixed-breed and stay dogs waiting for a home. You should adopt one of them.
A Beagle is a good option too. Is a very familiar dog and very funny with kids
For anyone who wants to adopt a dog needs to select the right breed based on their living places and family situation, better got with friendly non agressive breeds if you are living with your family. and very lovely,Now i missed my Husky that Left me few years ago after 6 years of being together.actually he was given to me by a friend when he was already 2 years old thats why The life span is i maximized living with Him.
Bruno is so smart and lovable even my children love Him so much.

I like dogs very much. Of course I would buy a dog. This made me very happy.
