If you are interested in waves only then go to coinmarketcap ( https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/waves/#markets ) and check which place would you like from the list there.

From that list for waves I would recommend bittrex and livecoin.
...Somehow I don't see it would be listed on poloniex on the coinmarketcap list, but it would be my choice number one... even after they removed trollbox

My vote goes to Bittrex too. Pretty good website and safe exchange.
For very small marketcap altcoins, cryptopia is a good choice.

I've been looking to buy waves with BTC but all the websites i've found so far have mixed reviews so i'm not sure if i should use them..
Please let me know what website you use for buying and selling altcoins
Try to use Poloniex exchange they're user friendly and you can file a ticket if you have a problem with their site and you can use 2FA security to prevent from hacking or use Bittrext if you want a unique style and fast website, These 2 exchange site i've been using about a year now but the only thing i've experienced in poloniex is in withdrawal problem they are slow in approving a Withdrawal request but it is good to prevent from hijacking your bitcoins, They reviewing the withdrawal request before they approve it.
I would use Bittrex rather than Poloniex because Poloniex received some pretty bad reviews lately.
Bittrex also has other altcoins so if you really wanted to purchase something with your Bitcoin then you would have a lot to choose from.

Poloniex was a nice place to trade though the website is a little off now since they decided to close the trollbox on there. Poloniex does have a pretty good customer support when it works.

Nah, you know, there are a lot of crypto markets on the Internet, you can easily find out Bittrex, Poloniex, etc on Google, they are really easy to use and you don't need to worry about your money when trading there.

you can directly buy in DEX https://waveswallet.io or buy in any of the market listed in here: https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/waves/#markets
I'd suggest bittrex , livecoin and cryptopia and would avoid trading it in yobit.
All exchanges have their issues. You just gotta find one which has an active support and can help you out. You will read bad reviews on any of them but some are actually a good exchange.

As far as my experience bittrex and polybius and also etherdelta having good reputation. I would say investing on waves is a good idea because the ability of creating smart contracts on waves platform.more ICO will start waves platform then it may overtake ethereum.

For waves I recommend waves official client. You can also use light wallet. They have an exchange section.

If waves is the one you want to buy then bittrex is a good choice to try I already do it multiple times and transfer it to my waves wallet and I don't have any bad experience using that exchange.

I agree, if you wanted to buy altcoins now. Bittrex would be a good website to choose from. Same as the above mentioned, and you could transfer it to your waves wallet, its easier and doesn't have problems when withdrawing your altcoins unlike Poloniex which are having issues lately withdrawing altcoins. That's just my opinion though.
