Basically the best cards are the ones which are sold out or overpriced.

It's actually pretty crazy that in most retail stores the RX AMD series are almost double from their MSRP when they were released on the market.

Your only choice now is Nvidia however they are crazy expensive .

Enough money to buy any reasonably priced GPU up to GTX 1080 Ti.

I think 1080ti is too expensive, personally I choose 1070ti besides its cheaper price also hash rate not too far with 1080ti in the same algorithm.

What?

My best 1070ti gets 440h/s on Equihash, while my best 1080ti gets 700h/s... both with the same overclock 75% power limit, +100/+150

1080ti is the best card all around, they are just too expensive right now.  Wait a month and they will start showing up on the second hand market as people start preparing to buy the 1180.

I'm looking for free spin.
1080 ti would be great choice you can both mine with zcash and ethereum and 1070 ti or 1070 will be good if you can buy it with cheap price.
For AMD rx 570 still be good to buy for mining ethereum.
But for me since I bought my 1080 ti it gives me good more profit than the lower cards if you know about the etherpill you can increase the hashrate when mining ethereum.

If buying a gpu today the 1070ti is the overall performance pick.

RX570 4GB is the budget pick.  Saw these at $220 a week or two ago.  Pretty good capital recovery at 29 mhs and 100-110 watts.  1050ti is a super budget pick, too much so imo, but ppl use them.

If you have $1k to burn on gpus, I'd be looking at these two options.

OP here, So I've been having issues with my Nvidia rig, GPUs quit working.

So instead of ordering a new GPU I ordered a new motherboard, SSD, and power supply.

2x GTX 1080 Ti SC2
2x GTX 1070 Ti Mini
1x GTX 1070 SC
1x EVGA 850 B2
1x EVGA 750 B2
ASUS H170 Pro Gaming
320GB HDD
Windows 10
Latest Nvidia Driver

No matter which mining program I use it will mine for 1-2 days before 1 or more GPUs give an error in the mining program and also in device manager.

So I've ordered a different motherboard which I have a mining bios from the manufacturer (GA-Z270XP-SLI with F9A mining bios from Gigabyte tech support).
Also ordered an SSD (because the HDD is a headache waiting on it to boot.)
Also ordered Corsair HX1200i new and on sale.

So hopefully I'll be able to use a single power supply and see if I can get rid of the issue I'm having.

My 7x AMD GPU rig has zero issues on the GA-Z270XP-SLI and a single SeaSonic PRIME 1200W Gold.

Thanks for all the suggestions. I still have coin I can sell to get a new GPU, but I'd rather keep the coin and the gains if their price increases.

mining now with available good gpu always better than mining in the future (whenever) with some future (whatever) gpu.

What would you buy right now for mining? Already have multi-GPU AMD and Nvidia.

except for the market situation back to the moon, I will buy:

AMD
RX580 8 GB (Powercolor)

NVIDIA
1070ti, and want to know about the new NVIDIA to be released in July

If you absolutely want to buy a card now as opposed to waiting until the next generation is available, I'd go with a 1070ti. They overclock much better than 1080s yet have nearly the same number of cores.  Yes, a 1080ti will still be faster, but you can put some of the money you save today by going with a 1070ti towards a next generation card once they are available.

if i look at the current situation better hold your money until the market situation back to normal or wait for a new GTX release, who knows this card has a good performance also hope the price makes sense.

1180 come with a much lower tdp and it's faster than a 1080ti, just wait for the new card to happen, it's just oen month of waiting, 1170 also is very good on par with a 1080ti

Yeah I'm wondering about the GTX 1180/2080 in July.  I wonder if it will be any better for mining. But even then I'd have to wait longer for the aftermarket models to become available.

I would go for the 1080ti for a couple of good reasons:

1. it's the best in terms of hashrate / power consumption ratio
2. it's more "future proof" compared to other GPUs because its relatively new
3. you'll get more density with your mining rigs and overall spend less on motherboards, cpus, etc.

And they are at MRRP
