As a newbie to this I really find the high price as an obstacle to buying bitcoins. Had I heard about this earlier I could have done something to acquire at least 1 btc. Now my only hope of acquiring one would be those faucets that don't really pay enough. Oh well, I've heard about Yobit and I'm trying to learn how it works. Might be able to get a few bits there at least.

Go to an ATM and buy as much as you want. Deposit only $10 or, if you can afford, $100 and that can turn into thousands soon (I'm talking about the next year). I've got a few hundreds of bucks and I'm going to hold them there until the price will skyrocket.

I also think that the future is about bitcoin or all the technology that stays behind it. And I also have the same problem when I'm talking about bitcoin to my friends. They are too skeptic about bitcoin cause of it's not on hear. I think bitcoin will be fully adopted sooner or later.

Even in my country the colleagues who used to makes jokes about me and bitcoin now are telling me "hey how many coins do you have" and they are telling me they wish they bought bitcoin when it was 450-500 USD. At that time I encouraged them to buy as in a few years 5-15 I told them back then it will be surely increased in price a lot. They didn't listen that time and now they are thinking it's too expensive to buy bitcoins.

I'm not an early adopter as I came to the bitcoin scene at the end of 2014 but I had almost the same experience as you , I was recommending some friends about it and talking about it with my family , they had the same reaction as your friends , until the price started to raise these last days and now they are wishing they have invested.
It's not time to stop suggesting it to people though , If you really care about your friends and you want them genuinely to be part of the "revolution of economics" then you should definitely continue.

Would you still suggest people buy bitcoins now though? For people who have just heard about bitcoin, the current exchange rate might make them think twice before buying even if they somehow believe it's a good investment.

BTW, what do early adopters do with their profit? Do they simply hold on to their bitcoins, trade or exchange for fiat?

Earli adopters are the bigest winners in Bitcoin story. At least I think so. Although just the few beleived in Bitcoin back then they profited the most, especialy those who have waited long enough.
At this moment it's still good to listen what this people have to say cause they know the best.

Those early adopters haven't expected such a growth with bitcoin, only the personwho learned and have knowledge about blockchain accepted in the beginning, but over the years it have gained popularity with it's increased price and continues to grow than most other altcoins.

Looking at the price alone can take ones eye off the big picture, there is no price below $1000 presently that is not a good buy. Is just like saying the pirce a property is high when you know next year the value is probably going to increase more in value

Every time bitcoin goes on a bull run the bitcoin forums and Reddit go bonkers with memes and pumpers,  but i really think that the excitement is legitimate,  we early adopters can see how important and beneficial bitcoin can be to the internet and so get excited about it.  To me bitcoin is just so obviously the future, but when i like tell friends and family they are just like..... yeah ok.   Cheesy

I have refrained from encouraging them to buy some as i know how volatile bitcoin can be, and at the minute i dont think its good to buy on a run but i really think that so many people are going to wish they had listened in 5-10 years from now.

Yeah, bitcoin price is volatile and can change at any time as the market cap not so huge right now, just like 14 billion compare to fiat or even PayPal. But, I still believe it due to many evidences from users that have been holding for a long time, in 5 years $100 worth in bitcoin will increase to $10000, early adopters already experienced it and we know it's true.

I had experience same as you, when I tried to introduce people, they just "ok, wow, so scarce", although I have tried to tell how to earn and have a big opportunity to earn profit.

Well the early adopters for me is who had buy 10k bitcoin for pizza, who called dinosaur (early miners). But there's no impossible if we called as early adopters with the price movement and improvement going.

Not before 5-10 years, but if someone before some months or one year did not believe in bitcoin and did not buy anything after a suggestion then they must also be regretting their decision if they see the price right now, because it has grown too higher then what it was before.
