So.. I got 50$ scammed from me and paypal didn't want to make the chargeback.

Told you to state that it was a physical item , most of the times scammers do not bother to reply back to dispute but you learned a good lesson for small amount , be careful for next time Smiley

I will sell .2BTC for $55USD PayPal
I will take that offer if it can wait a couple of days.

Sadly, that guy took 50$ from my debit account and I just had 60$ there.
I need to get more dollars. (I'm from Peru and the currency used here is Soles, I just use Dollars for buying stuff online)

I'm willing to do small transactions like this usually, hate newbies after the market price Smiley msg me and refer to this thread Smiley
Thanks

yeah.. well, I think I waited long enough..

Have you Chargedback before , i mean there opens up a dispute but am sure he will not reply and you will win but still keep your proofs together
I haven't, it's my first time. I just opened a dispute in the virtual goods category for not receiving my item.

I believe he will not reply to the dispute , it's your win but as i have heard ( not sure) you should not state it as Virtual Item( Bitcoin specifically) , Virtual item is fine i think.
Good luck with it!

Really? I heard that paypal is starting to bet for bitcoin, so I thought it would be ok.
My payment message did say that the 50$ were for 0.2BTC.
I just hope everything goes alright.. like I said, if it doesn't, 50$ is not the the end of the world, but I would really like to get that money back.

Thanks for the concern and help Cheesy

As i said am not sure , when  i bought btc from LBC using PP they always told me to not mention BTC that's why i thought it to be but haven't been much active since some days so am not sure if something has changed with PP
Paypal starting to bet for bitcoin is new to me , never heard of it !
Good luck

brb keeping up with the Kardashians
I'm going to wait until  tomorrow and if  he doesn't send the BTC I'll use the paypal resolution center.
that's where I should look to make the charge back right?

I just wanted some btc...

Why wait? He had no intention of sending you any BTC to begin with. You're just giving him more time to withdraw.

what if he used a fake paypal account and was able to withdraw the money?

its just 50$, its not the end of the world, but that would be a real downer..
So far I had no real  problems with bitcoin transactions, it being my first time sucks...

I hate it how It is so hard to get BTC if you are not from the US...

well its up to you that $50 is alot in some countries, so yeah they will really scam for that amount. I would pretty much do a chargeback already since that newbie didn't give you the btc immediately

Its your call if you're really going to trust a newbie..
