if you dare to take a high risk then buy coin in ico because when we buy coins in ico we will get a big bonus, but if you do not want to take a higher risk it is better to buy in exchange the risk will be smaller or buy tokens at the newly finished ico exchange because usually the price will drop dramatically.

I used to buy during ICOs but lately I prefer market when I'm investing in projects. I observe how the things are handled by team after ICO and it gives me idea of way they go.

buying during ICO stage is very big bet at this moment,
you can a huge profit or maybe you can lose your money and your time, because sometimes an ICO project have a long time to be listed on exchange
so, do what you believe in your heart,  Wink

It's a puzzle in my mind, which is the best way to put some investment in cryptocurrency.
Either buying it during ICO or those coins listed already in different exchanges.
I know being on this, we should be a risk taker, but where do I put risk?

Which do you prefer to do so?
I suggest you buy the existing coin in the exchange site just like this https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/remme/ that gives the more guarantee for you to avoid the scam project because the token has already listed on the exchange site and you can liquidate your tokens anytime. At least if you are buying through exchange site and the only risk for you to get lost due to the volatility of the market itself. if you are investing in the promising one just like remme and it's much better rather than put your amount to the random ico.

If you are really a risk taker, then buy coin during ICO because the price is a relatively low plus given bunos but make it sure that you've done all possible initiatives to just lessen the risk you face upon dealing this kind of investment.

BUYING DURING ICO OR EXISTING COINS IN EXCHANGES?

Which do you prefer to do so?

I think it's depend, i mean because sometimes the project that you invested it end up of scam, so that you can't gain the profit to that coin, it's like in exchange site sometimes even they listed it on exchange site the movement of their token its not totally active which means the value of your investment goes down. So for me i want to choose buying token in exchange site ( but like i said, it's depend ).

I think it's better to buy in ICO, but choose the best ICO and have a good future.
You can search at https://icodrops.com

if you want to buy in exchanges, choose a token from a new project whose is still below ICO prices.

if I think personally better choose to buy coin that already exist in bursa, because more guarantee price problem than coin that existed at the time of ICO took place.

Make sense to buy in pre-ICO with the lowest price or will wait for global correction on any coin in the market than buy it. But when you buying in pre-ico you have most risks than in the market.

It depends on coin, Some coins are good to buy during ICO and other are good to buy at exchange, for example an ico that offers huge bonus and big bounty allocation will be good to buy at exchange because people will dump the coins once it hit exchanges.

It was much more profitable to invest in the project during the ICO earlier. Now many projects, after they release their token on the Exchange, fall in Price, and quite strongly. So I think that it is better to buy on the stock Exchange.

Most tokens have been sold under ICO price once listed....so in most cases you may be better off waiting until they reach exchanges. However, not all have followed this path, some did in fact drop only a little and rose immediately after. In those cases buying at ICO would have been better. If you are able to buy during presale you buy for even lower prices, the downside then is that you don't know if the token will ever reach an exchange....

ICO for high risk, high reward, fast money

Established coins for lower risk, lower reward, long term investment.

It depends what your investment goals are. Either way, you need to research, and only invest what you can afford to lose

I prefer to buy the token when there is an exchanger. Because the price offered is cheaper than the price of ICO. But if we do something like that, the token holder will definitely dump their token for a bargain price. So that who has bought tokens at ICO will feel aggrieved if sold in the exchanger the price is cheaper than they buy.

When you are investing you must conduct study  to make your investment more profitable, so before investing ICO examine it carefully and make a research , then after you invest ,because their coins csn be avail with some discounts, unlike in the coin of the exchanges it is  much higher value compare to the ICO offering, so prepare and invest in ICOs .

ICO's are risky especially in a bear market. Find companies that did an ICO back in Q4 of 2017 that are only recently hitting the exchanges. With the exception of a few most are at or below ICO price due to the current bear market.

For research do things like

- Verify the team members existence
- Check out the activity on telegram
- Check the thread here
- Look at real world usability
- Look at price to return to ico (I just bought a couple that are 6X below ICO price) - This means to even break early investors even the price needs to go 6X.

Dont rush into anything. Nothing is "Mooning" right now. Gain some confidence in the projects and then buy so that way if they dip again you wont panic sell because you know what you bought and why you bought it.

Hope this helps

If you can say "no pain no gain" you should be risk taker but if you can not say this you can buy ethereum and sleep well Smiley

Since a lot of ICO now turn to scam, I'd rather buy a coin where listed already on different exchanges. Not only that, some coin suffered from depreciation where its price in the market is lower than its ICO price. The risk is undeniable so the least we could do is to lower the risk of your investment.

If some of the best tokens are now on the exchange and fall below the issue price, I will buy them.
Because when you invest in new ICO projects, you don't know if they will be on the exchange.

or if you dare to take risks. Try investing in both.
I myself prefer coin that already exists on the exchange.
