I have used JMB several times and they are awesome.  For $9.99 i get 2 day air shipping but if I order early morning I get the coins the next day.

Hmm, very much interesting thought to have precious metals with bitcoin. It would be great to invest money which is earned from the bitcoin and to put them into precious metal. That will increase the profitability ratio by many folds because we will be buying something valuable than fiat itself. Hope these merchants are very much good and trusted one as the scams are increasing when it comes to trading valuable goods for bitcoin or crypto currency.

i see some online shop that they are selling some gold jewellery with bitcoin and i think that it very good for bitcoin users and i think that there is a lot of people are buying gold from them.

Is this shop trusted? How are their reviews? Buying gold and jewlery online could be tricky, you can't check if it's real and worthy or not. Do they send some kind of certificates of origins? It's not easy to find trustworthy web seller.

I would definitely add https://bullion79.com/ to the list. They ship worldwide, their prices are pretty competitive and what's most important - they're legit. They run a few businesses in the gold/silver niche in Poland (operating under company name 79Element) and deliver authentic products  Wink

It would be useful to have a list of reliable precious metals merchants who accept bc. I shall start.

Amagi Metals -- Sells PMs for bitcoins. Does not buy, but plans to buy in future. I ordered one krugerrand on 4/7/13. It arrived on 4/10/13. Outstanding service! See https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=130831.120

Bitcoin Commodities -- Sells PMs for bitcoins. Does not buy. Dennis Draiber is in Berlin, but for U.S. customers he drop-ships merchandise out of Apmex in Oklahoma. I ordered one krugerrand on 4/8/13. It arrived on 4/17/13. See https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/bitcoincommoditiescom-now-accepting-bch-99733

Coinabul -- Oldest PM/BTC merchant. Unreliable, see https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/scam-coinabul-owe-me-81btc-149253

GoldSilverBitcoin.com -- Placed order on 4/19/13. Arrived 4/30/13. Coins rattling around loose in box.  See also https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/goldsilverbitcoincom-excellent-service-156256

Thanks for tip mate!

Gold is actually the best store of value you can have. It is a good idea to keep some. I might as well get some on my portfolio.

This thread needs an update as things quickly change around here.

Amagi Metals is unrealiable these days, see the thread here https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=130831.120.
Coinabul is/was a scam, see thread here https://goldstockbull.com/articles/warning-buy-gold-silver-coinabul/
Agora Commodities changed to Veldt Gold.

There are a few other providers on the scene and after buying gold from them we collected details here https://plusbitcoin.net/buy-gold-with-bitcoin/.

I know this might be be what this thread is for but another idea for buying gold is you can easily get amazon gift cards with BTC and then buy gold through there. I've done that before. Might have to check, not sure whether it's cheaper to buy through vendors or on amazon.

Great list! I heard of some company that was allowing you to buy physical gold with XRPs (Ripple's native currency). It sounded good, but given everything that's going on with Ripple I don't know if I'd trust going this route.

Thanks everyone for providing your experiences. I have made identical purchases from 4 of the most popular online stores that offer precious metals for bitcoin. There were a surprising number of unexpected things that occurred during these purchases, and I've documented everything that happened at a website I built for this purpose.

http://buygoldwithbitcoin.com

If you're thinking of buying gold with bitcoin you might first read my reviews and keep up on the latest news. And please leave some comments regarding your recent purchases!

During my first two purchases from Amagi Metals and Agora Commodities, something unexpected happened in the latter which added a ridiculous additional shipping fee when ordering in bitcoin. All these screenshots are provided. Agora has since gifted me an extra coin for the overcharge.

I hope this information is useful to the bitcoin community. I have two more reviews to publish from the first test purchase, and another four purchases should be scheduled soon. It takes a lot of time with all the screenshots. I have no idea how much interest this is drawing. If you like it, please share it forward. Happy stacking!

I would be highly interested in hearing some people's experiences with Amagi Metals

I ordered a few items that were on backorder (physical silver is hard to come by if you are stuck on certain pieces, if you're willing to take anything there's usually something available) Everything arrived well packaged fairly quickly after being shipped (international)

Currently have my 2nd order in with them, again something that was backordered. Has since been shipped and I hope to get it in a week or two.

I have ordered from Amagi Metals and had a good experience. Recommended.

I also sell gold, but in a form more intended for use as an alternative currency than as an investment. ShireSilver.com Our Twentieth Gram Gold Card is the world's smallest physical gold trade unit.
Note that our integrated bitcoin acceptance is temporarily down, but we can do it the old fashioned way.

It sounds like they've done a lot of business with forum members, and there haven't been many complaints. They seem very responsive to customer comments on this thread. I will be placing an order tonight.

I placed an order for one krugerrand on Sunday 7 Apr. As of 8 Apr it shows as "processing". Check back here for the latest.
Update 9 Apr, they emailed me today that it shipped.
Update 11 Apr: I just received the kruggerrand that I ordered from Amagi last Sunday. Outstanding service!

Thanks. I just ordered something from them. Apparently, Dennis Daiber is in Berlin, but drop-ships out of Apmex for U.S. customers. I shall post the outcome here and on
