Thank you all for your answers.

Is it even OK to buy now GPUs, since the prices dropped and profit is much lower than 1-2 months ago?

What do you think its good deal for a GTX 1060?
Is it better to grab 3gb version for 240eur or 6gb version for 290eur?

If you want density of the rigs, the nVidia 1080ti is the best. The dollar/hash is not too high.

Isn't it better to get 2 of 1060s for the same amount of money than one 1080ti?
Furthermore, 2 1060s are cheaper than one 1080ti and give more hash power.

Better to get 1060s if you can spare the PCIE slots on your MOBO. Just make sure you get the 6GB rather than the 3GB variant of the 1060. 3GB variants are at risk of being obsolete (at least for ETH mining) because of the DAG file size increase.

Is it better deal to buy new GTX 1060 3gb for 240 EUR or used RX 480 8gb XFX GTR for 280 EUR??

I'm aware the prices are sky high now, but AMD gives better hash although its used and more expensive.

I will recommend buy geforce 1060 with 6 GB VRAM... thank me later.-

I like the 1070 8GB ...and the radeon rx580   BUT

a-   The memory of the cards is important (elpida, samsung, etc) and make difference in MH
b-   The brand and model too ...  for example, the MSI are very good cards but not all the models... some dont have good cooling etc...

Have a nice day!

Oh meh! That's really sky high price isn't it. I'm thinking you must go with AMD based GPU as it will have greater hash rates.  Or you can go with used GPU if you want to be cost effective. Do not go for too old as their efficiency might not be as good as little old gpus.

Is it worth to buy those new mining cards available in the market without video output

how is the performance of that card?

Some say to avoid them due to generally shorter warranty periods and the possibility that the GPUs are of lower quality (the ones that didn't quite meet the standard for mainstream gaming cards).

Performance & price will vary by each specific card. Some manufacturers claim that they've modified them for significantly better "mining performance", but I haven't seen much evidence of that yet.

So far I know the P106 which is based on 1060 6GB GTX is out and lately the RX 470 version improved for mining. They just have 2-3 Mhash more but nothing else so the result is almost the same of the normal cards. I only have tried the P106 card and it goes to 24 Mhash in Ethereum , ASUS version.

If you plan to mine for a while get a 1060 6GB card not the 3GB version.  3GB version is 10% slower and we are currently at 2GB DAG file so that card wont last too long.

None is worthy nowadays, you will be throwing money away. It would be better if you buy bitcoin directly or the altcoin you want to mine and to keep them in their respective wallets.

Hashrate of RX 470, RX 480 ,RX 570, RX 580 (Sapphire Nitro or Nitro+) in stock settings they mine you 0.0005 btc per day which is not worth spending 280 Euro just to mine 0.0005 btc in a day  or 0.015 btc in a month.

Nvidia is not looking good either, a 1060 3GB would give you about 0.00045 btc daily, which is even lower. As you see mining with GPU-s is not looking very bright at the moment.

blah blah blah. sick of hearing this. some of us like to mine. we know it's not as profitable as it was and it's getting harder. but to some,it's a hobby. some like to mine to hold and hope. it's not always about just profits. mining helps the coins networks too

If the OP liked to mine as a hobby he would not have asked to save 40 Euro and asking us the difference between the 2 cards but would have bought whatever the price of a card.

By the way I am a miner myself which I am mining with 0.16 EUR kwatt but I too believe in bitcoin and mine through nicehash and hold my mining earnings although I am at a loss because of the high energy price.

To chose betwen old 480 and 1060 with 3gb is very hard question. First because now is lots of 1060 with hyunix memory and can mine only about 17m in eth.
And amd is very near to release fixed drivers without slow down on dag, look like will again to work with full speed. But 480 used are not so good with quality.
Lots new 470/480 died in mine, much lower quality then for example 380/280 cards.

Where can i get RX 480 or RX 580 cards??
Its out of stock everywhere

any store link would be helpful

Try the places not really known for selling electronics, especially graphics cards, even *gasp* physical stores.

Two days ago, I was able to order a few 570 and 580 cards (4GB only, but I'll take what I can get) from Office Depot online, but it looks like they're all gone now. I also saw a few when browsing at Best Buy, but all of them were extremely overpriced.

If you're really desperate, look on eBay, but be careful for scams and heavily used cards. (And be prepared to pay $300+ per card, maybe less if you're lucky.) At those prices, I can't say if it's worth it or not.

I would also lend towards 1060, you can mine more algo's with better hash, look what happened with SIGT,  guys with amd could not match what nvidia was doing. Also no miner support for skunk algo as far as I know.

Yeah but how profitable those coins are ? Ethash is most profitable algorithm to mine no doubt (for quite some time now)
