LTC 0.025 within +/- 1.5 months. Smiley

I certainly hope so...

I would like too see that also. It would be a nice thing to happen for litecoin after period of silence.

Are you sure in that 0.025, can you tell us where did you heard for that? If its some secret source can you at least tell us how trustworthy he is? This is nice opportunity for earning some nice amount, doubling money is very hard sometimes so this sounds vey promising.

I will wait to hear your opinion about it and maybe I will invest some nice amount if you give me some positive answers about your information.

History repeats itself, especially in crypto trading world. Just watch Litecoin closely. Right now, LTC is leading BTC. I expect break-out within 3 days.

it has always been like this, these coins like LTC with lower prices change (rise or fall) much faster and bigger than bitcoin.

the recent ~23% rise of litecoin from 0.0073BTC to 0.0091BTC is clear indication of that.

and as i said before i am sure as soon as bitcoin starts moving up again LTC will follow.

it seems like the rise has stopped for the moment and i think it is because of the bitcoin price falling back down.

i am glad i sold it on top at 0.009 because now i am waiting for the dip to buy more and wait for the next big rise after bitcoin started going up again.

these two pairs are going to continue moving hand in hand this year.

Yeah, that's the way it goes. For now, anyway, the short-sellers have prevailed. 0.0084; $3.75. Congrats.

What is interesting is that the volume has decreased a lot but the price is not really decreasing anymore. I got out for now, but am watching this closely.

On a more serious note, I managed to get in around 0.00821 let's see what happens in the next few weeks.

I've legged-in at somewhat higher prices: 0.00845584 BTC average. Best of luck to both of us. Smiley

Well, we now have the answer to my question as we could have sold for a small profit already. Apparently buying at 0.0085 and below was the right thing to do. The question now is how high can this go?

Well, it's pulled back in fiat terms because Bitcoin's been shellacked but it's still trundling upwards in satoshi terms. The funny thing is, there's a lot of demand from short sellers over at Poloniex. I've managed to snag some pretty good rates loaning out my Litecoin to them.

I really don't know at this point how high it can go, but it's definitely woken up. It prolly won't take off until the short sellers get bloodied.

I'm the guy who arranged it, and yes, anon features are being tested.

So you're the losh... .that's interesting. Please stick around and let's get an LTC community thread running here. How can this coin not have any community presence on this board.

Keep in touch with bct and it's community is vital. Get the community involved and talking about developments you will see enthusiasm build.

Those features all look very interesting.

Let's get an LTC thread running here with someone related to the core development team posting so we are all kept up to speed.

There was some tweet about anon features coming to LTC, that would be interesting.

Can you provide a source?
I've seen litecoin being dead in the water for quite some time now. Showing features/ active development or any other proof of life would be good.

i agree, when you claim something like this you should provide proof.
litecoin seems dead, it has no development and it is as we all know it a copy of bitcoin with no real good feature.

but all these are irrelevant because the price is rising and i believe it will continue to rise as bitcoin price rises, and since the rise was big and sudden the dump (fall back) was also expected so now i am waiting for the bottom to get in and enjoy the rest of the rise.

Reasons to buy are:

  • Capable of four times as many transactions as Bitcoin in a ten minute period. Frankly if payment processors had adopted Litecoin in the past year current Bitcoin block discussions would be irrelevant (and likely the price of both coins higher). Anyone who has watched these discussions understands the immediate advantage of a network with larger transactional capability.
  • Faster confirmation times. The only people who don't think this is important have never spent a single coin or they have patience that the average person does not possess.
  • The faster block time of litecoin reduces the risk of double spending attacks.
  • Anti-spam.
  • Fast well established network. Current Hashrate is 1,643 GH/s. Since scrypt is memory intensive it is known to be approximately 1000 times slower hardware wise in comparison to SHA256. Fair comparison to the Bitcoin network requires multiplying that hashrate by 1000 (1,643 TH/s). The fact is for most of Litecoins history the hashrate has been relatively high and secure. Those comparing it to the Bitcoin network without considering this 1k factor are either being disingenuous or just ignorant of the facts.
  • Continuous development look here at number of releases in past year: https://github.com/litecoin-project/litecoin/releases
  • Upcoming new features and active development look here for whats happening in 2016:
    https://www.reddit.com/r/litecoin/comments/3z2ta1/ama_official_litecoin_developers_and_litecoin/
  • Longevity. Many coins have temporarily eclipsed litecoin as they were marketed for the purpose of increasing the fiat accounts of a small group and emptying the accounts of new users. Unfortunately this has been detrimental to crypto-space in general.
  • Great community.
  • Fully supported by GoCoin a growing payment processor used by thousands of merchants https://www.gocoin.com/
  • Liquidity. You can sell thousands and not crash the market. Maintains value. Look at the chart here indicating volume in the last 24 hours relative to other coins. http://cryptocoincharts.info/coins/graphicalComparison In fact volume has remained high since last June while maintaining a stable price.

If the big whales think the litecoin price can go to 0.01, then 0.085 is a good price to buy. But it is still risky.

Nobody can assure a whale would buy LTC which makes it risky. But there's still a chance that a group of traders would fill in their stash of LTC, so that too would increase the price of LTC. Roll Eyes

Litecoin is actually silver to Bitcoin's gold.
This is the most ridiculous statement within the crypto scene I know.
I like the rise though, gains are always welcome.
