Decentralized community is too utopian. Good luck finding one.

There are different levels of decentralization. It's not a question of luck to find a significantly more decentralised forum, it is a question ot time.

Maybe one could be built on a blockchain.

Something like bitmessage is ofcource possible but with all that spam etc..I am wondering what will be the blockchain size.

What would be the size of a forum like this?

This forum seems about as libertarian and 'hands off' as forums get, but there's always going to be some moderation or mediation needed. Sometimes I don't think there's enough intervention on here but I also hold the view that people should be censored as little as possible.

Time to take the first step to a decentralized society. See u on a decentralized forum...

What kind of decentralization ? Please explain.

As for bitcointalk.org

There are 2 admin's (theymos and justmoon)
Domain is owned by Sirius
Forum and database is only accessible by theymos
Forum and database, both are hosted separately.
There are around 10-15 mods.
There are around 6-7 Forum Treasurers, 7 Community council members.

Decentralized community is too utopian. Good luck finding one.

It sounds like the complete opposite to me - total anarchy.

Is there any examples of a decentralized forum. Do you mean like one without any moderators or rules?

we are totally confused about your thread you need to clear us ! Wink

That is the whole point of decentralization. You dont have to know everything. It is better if you don't really. Just pieces of information from which you can build greater image Smiley
