Can we get a bonus hidden block added to rep lil Paraguay?  Smiley

ASUNCION – A large oil discovery has been made in the Chaco region and Paraguay could join the petroleum producers club in 2013, President Federico Franco said.

“Paraguay is a country full of opportunities. Next week, Tuesday, if God allows, we are going to the Chaco. Petroleum has been found in the Pirity basin and of the best quality, and in abundant quantities,” Franco told a group of Brazilian businessmen on Monday.

Initial studies have been conducted and “certainly by April, May, June of next year” Paraguay will join “the countries that produce petroleum,” the president said.

Would it be possible to add the oil price in USD to the blockchain as part of the transaction?

That way you could have an entire history of oil prices stored within the blockchain.

When you send a payment, code checks reliable sources for a price and then tags it on to the amount.

More great ideas.  I like the idea of storing oil data into the blockchain..  incorporating as much as real world oil data into this coin is a plus.

maybe stupid ideas, but better than nothing Smiley:

pos interest:
- a  dynamic pos interest system bound on estimated world wide oil reserves. (maybe technical not realizable and i'm not sure if changing the rules after launch is reasonable)

display dynamic Infos in wallet like:
- estimated world wide oil reserves
- if a new oil field is found
- current opec oil output

not really marketing ideas but some gimmicks for the wallet at least

mine on ...

I think these are great ideas.  Tying oil into the POS % and/or the wallet in anyway are unique ideas and I think adds to the excitement of this coin.

tipbot detects OPEC Coin wallet itself, so you may just put the wallet into the signature
Code:
oZVdX2HBpDgXowvBvvVX9QeqCBE3usmNac
and nothing else, you will receive tips.

Or you may have other stuff in your signature - links, other coins wallet addresses, tip bot will still see your OPC wallet and send you a tip

Let's try if the tipbot works. Smiley

Is there anything specific for it to recognize the signature, like for example "OPC", "OPEC", "OPEC Coin" etc?

Mine works fine, just put something similar in yours!

Thanks, mine apparently also worked just fine, just got 20 OPC in the wallet Smiley

Ponderously ruminative
Pardon me if this is a silly question but is it normal and correct for my mac wallet to show 53 greyed-out entries "Mined" of various coin fragments "Generated but not accepted Mined"? I've also apparently had 8 accepted.

Is there some problem with my wallet or settings that so much detritus is appearing or maybe that so many generated items are rejected?

Puzzled and curious.

how does the interest rate work, it seems low. is it 2% per month, .02 / (720 hrs/month / 10hrs min age) = .000277.

on 18830 i got 1.69 stake, which is .0000897, was expecting more around 5.2 stake. anyone with more experience with stake coins know how to calculate the interest rate. thanks

any info? (received my tip thank you)
