The authorities of some countries can block access to different crypto sites and crypto wallets and limit trade using crypto currency. But people will find an opportunity to circumvent these prohibitions.
They can't limit anything. People can find ways around their system though they can actually move somewhere else to break those limits.

As far as i know, bitcoin can only be ban if internet is stopped from working in such country. Because everything  about it is anonymous can't be traced.

A country cannot completely ban bitcoin, which is now a global currency.
When a country bans bitcoin, you can go to other countries that are friendly to bitcoin, and that won't make a big difference.

Yes, a country can do what ever it wants including banning bitcoin. It can immediately draw up laws and regulations banning BTC and making it punishable if you have any. Then even put people into prison for it.

I think it could be that a country is totally capable of banning bitcoin holders, and as long as it catches hold of bitcoin, the whole country is afraid to use bitcoin.
But a single country can't let bitcoin go to death, because there's always a country that recognizes the value of bitcoins, and BTC not controlled by any one country.

Governments can ban anything within their borders. If so, you wouldn't be able to legally transact using bitcoins without some penalty if you get caught. Perhaps there are dark markets where you wouldn't be caught, but this would severely limit Bitcoin adoption within that country! Any government can declare cryptocurrency illegal but it will have no affect since they cannot control it due to the decentralized nature

With a lot of news around this days about some countries banning bitcoin and so on. Is it actually possible for a country to ban bitcoin or other altcoins? Or the news are just rumor from some people that want the price to deep so they can scoop enough of the coin at deep.
In my opinon it's really possible to ban any website or service, because they have block access to any website including different type of connections proxy, vpn's. But there would be services which will allow you to open certain websites, but if you are accessing the resource even with VPN it also can be the easiest tool to access blocked websites

Technically, it's impossible to ban bitcoin totally. People can find lots of ways to access to blockchain and bitcoin system. This is not that hard. This is about using and utilizing internet services, that's it.

For modern people there are so many opportunities to find out the information they are interested in. It is almost impossible to close all loopholes to collect information. New technologies seep into the minds.

not that easy... its maybe possible to ban options to buy but not really to hold, you could buy it privately, as long someone has a pc and knows someone with bitcoin or maybe a printer and knows someone haha there is an option, without internet and electricity we had a problem haha

They can't ban bitcoin existent but they can ban exchanges but for sure it's short term process but in the long run they will regulated it again but with precaution ofcourse. Governments wants to make sure that their citizen are safe on their investment.

I don't think so, yes other country banned bitcoin but in such case like their crypto exchanges, and transactions in banks that is related in cryptocurrency that they regulates. But actually they can't deny the facts that bitcoin is actually ban because it continuous until no one got interest in it.

I think countries will ban bitcoin for a short period of time.  I have no idea what that short time will be, but it will stay in effect until the powers to be have filled their coffers and then they will make it legal.  In the mean time they will create, test and implement systems and methods to tax any purchase or sale of bitcoin.  It is all about the wealthy, and government officials getting rich and then taxing everyone else.

The ban can only work if the ISP are fully loyal to the ruling government of the country, where every subscriber will have to pass through the government body to get data for browsing and fully be monitored by the government  but if am free to buy my data and use when and for what i like, then it will be very difficult to be ban.

That is it. They can only ban sites and exchanges but people can find a way to access cryptocurrency no matter what.
