Personally, I think you can post it here, or in the board, Project Development.
I think you need to create a new topic in the Project Development section.
However, if you post it here, you should notice on the following rule:
One thread per site ONLY. It means if you make a thread for your site's prelaunch here, later when your site officially launch, you have to edit that OP to be fitted with official site, rather than creating a new thread, that will violate forum rule.

I'm part of a team working on a sports betting site and we're about to go into beta testing and we need proper feedback from real users. Would it be against community etiquette to post a beta site here?

It's great that you are actually seeking feedback from the real users and letting us know that the website is in beta testing! We have had many examples where people have copy pasted FAQ from other websites and forgot to delete that name and started a full fledged website.

Bring it on! There is no specific rule for that!

Why not? You're not the only who thought of it. AS early as possible, market and advertise your site. This is a discussionboard for gambling related anyway so as long as its a gambling site, users will check it.  Just make sure you don't insert your link at every post somehow, it can be considered an abuse. If I have a site I would also be posting it before its even done to ask for suggestions.

Thanks. Do you think it would be more appropriate here or on the Project Development board?

Since it will now be on BETA LIVE, you can post it here in this section.

When is the pre-launch?

Any ETA's?

Yes you can post it even if its in beta mode maybe you should insert the link of your site to check if theres some bug or error then we can comment it to immediately fix or make a bounty for finding bugs and error this will easily make your site faster to fix error and in other scenario it bring attraction to the gambler.

It happened already where a team posted their site in here to received feedback from people who are willing to give their feedback and if there is a bug/issue with their site that is still in beta of course. You can also do it too just post it in the right board to start discussing about it.

On here (gambling section). Since your site is a sport betting and you accept bitcoin as your payment, it should be ok. You can also get more viewer from this board since there are lot of gamblers on here.

Of course, though don't expect many people to risk their money on a brand new site unless you're from a well known development team.

I'd recommend running a bug testing bounty to iron out any major issues before even going to beta though.

Yes you can post it, I remember a gambling site (lottery) with no house edge few months ago that was or still in BETA and they didn't accept deposits. It was available for everyone to try since all of their accounts are credited with play money.

I think you need to create a new topic in the Project Development section. Create a discussion topic and keep the community updated there. You will also find good suggestion from knowledgeable forum users.

Good luck.

Thanks. Yes, the site accepts bitcoin payments. Just had to make sure we weren't about to go against guidelines.

AFAK there is no specific rules about a pre-launch site to have a thread in this board. As long as your site is a site that will accept bitcoin as the payment method then it is OK to open a thread here for pre-launch feedback. There are some other sites which were in BETA when they created a thread in this board, so I guess it is OK for you to do pre-launch beta thread.
