Is it possible that some meme coin might challenge bitcoin in future ? Why or why not ? I personally feel that though we may see some mem coin making it really big but it will never be at the level to challenge bitcoin.

Exactly we can only experience changes in their value, but talking about if memecoin can challenge bitcoin in the future i don't think if that will be possible. moreover the reason behind the increase of memecoin is when they're being hyped even most of the meme get dumped after Hyping must have taken place, most of the meme after they're being listed in the market within a short period of time they will also get dumped just like shitcoin. however all this coin that doesn't last for long is never to be compared with bitcoin, because bitcoin has been there for many years now and it has been in a good performance ever since then, most of the memecoin that was listed in that era when bitcoin was newly introduced in this Crypto world i think most of those memecoin died long time ago but bitcoin manage to survive and even became the head of all Cryptocurrency.

Meme Coin can't challenge Bitcoin now or in the future, because Bitcoin is still number one coin in the cryptocurrency industries, in which meme Coin are hype by the community or Big boy's player in the cryptocurrency market, which does not take much longer the price of the memes coin dropped, even some get deleted in some crypto exchange market platform. Therefore Bitcoin creation is very strong and has less supply in the cryptocurrency market, in which demand always high and keep increasing in price.

I think there are many that have potential to be worked on, but if you want to say that one of them will be a competitor to BTC, maybe not and you have also given the answer in a concise way from your post above.

For their current development, they are quite popular because the profits are not much different if we buy other altcoins that are considered potential at this time.

Challenge in terms of what?
I mean the question is quite vague. I don't understand as well at what part will the meme coin will challenge Bitcoin in the future?

- Transaction speed? Obviously, there are meme coins that have a faster transaction speed than Bitcoin.
- Popularity? That will not happen because even though meme coins are the narrative right now and many people online are speaking about it, Bitcoin will remain as the most popular one.
- Market Cap? Just forget about it because Bitcoin will still and will always be at the top in terms of market cap.

That's why I don't know why we need to compare meme coins and Bitcoin. They can just both co-exist without us letting them compete with each other. There are things that meme coins are better at compared with Bitcoin and vice-versa.

Lately, there has been a lot of buzz about meme coins, with many expecting them to yield remarkable returns similar to Bitcoin. I believe this enthusiasm comes from those who missed out on Bitcoin's profits over the years and are now seeking a token to recover their losses. However, we must remember that last bull market for meme coin surge was unprecedented and unpredictable; it may never happen like that again. Pumping a coin for an extended period is very expensive, and the significant accumulation of meme coins before the pump allowed developers to achieve massive returns, making it easier to drive the price up.

Memecoins can't challenge bitcoin in any generation and the reason is, memecoins have no goals and aims and they are just launched in the space to float to survive or die. And they are always surviving from another altcoins network and not on their blockchain. and they are moving with the price of bitcoin and not on their own. Whenever the price of bitcoin reduces all follow decline and when it increases all increase while some of them still reduced . Therefore it will be very difficult for memecoins to takeover bitcoin in population and price.

The comparison does not seem logical with Bitcoin. Despite their huge sector and prominent names, these meme coins have not achieved anything close to Bitcoin’s market dominance, reliability, and growing adoption. These meme coins, with their enormous total supply and zero use cases, and for which joking was the main reason for their creation, will remain in the market for speculators but offer nothing substantial. They lack any notable features or qualifications to compete with Bitcoin, Ethereum, or other altcoins built on solid projects that play an active role in the crypto industry. Even though there are meme coins that have been dormant for years with no major developments in their current prices, investors shift their attention to the hype of other meme coins. Therefore, these meme coins may disappear and be replaced by others, but Bitcoin remains undisputed at the top.

Doge coin happens to be the first meme coin that was first develop in 2013 and so far since its invention, the coin still remains at $0.1....
I believe we all here knows how the price history of Bitcoin started from $0 - $0.0009 - $1000 just a few years after it was invented.  Bitcoin is just four years older than Doge coin but my question is why is doge coin still trading at $0.1 meanwhile it is already 11 years old? (Already I know my answer).

If you want to think that any meme coin will ever compete with Bitcoin in the future, then think about this scenario I just gave.

My answer to your  question is that no meme coin will ever compete with Bitcoin. Never.

I see such a scenario as very unlikely, but I would never say impossible because markets don't always move in a rational way. Normally, I would have said it was impossible for memecoins to even reach their current marketcap a few years ago, but today there are dozens of meme coins in the top percent.

In short, it's impossible for me and my predictions that I think are rational, I mean, it's impossible according to the ideal, but the reality we live in is different in this market. Even if it's not convincing, we may one day experience a bullshit like this...

Op, this your question is just like asking  if bird can withstand eagle merely looking at it the answer is very simple and easy off course bird can't withstand eagle and most of them still exist because they are hiding from eagle and eagle give them freedom by not going to hunt them likewise memecoin and Bitcoin, most memecoin depend on Bitcoin. However, the fact that these coins are created by human using technologies I think anything can be possible cause different individual has different knowledge and understanding, so if the tech and traget of any memecoin team is more than that of the Bitcoin then anything can be possible perhaps just an imagination.

Before answering why or why not, what kind of challenge? to overtake the ranking of Bitcoin? no.

I personally feel that though we may see some mem coin making it really big but it will never be at the level to challenge bitcoin.
It's only a feeling because it's possible that you have invest a lot from memecoins. But fundamentally, it is unlikely. As you have said in the latter, it will never be at the level of Bitcoin. So, whatever is that kind of challenge you are saying, it is not going to happen.

I've always said that memes are a big name in the cryptocurrency industry, a name that will never be erased, but for it to overtake Bitcoin will only happen in the dream. This is unless the government clamped down on Bitcoin and other decentralised coins/tokens, but still, it may not be meme coins/tokens that will take that number 1 space due to what they are being created for.

However, in the absence of the government playing politics with Bitcoin, I am certain that it will continue to hold the top position in the crypto world, and this is partly because it is the pioneer of all cryptocurrencies, and also for the fact that it is a truly decentralised blockchain that no one has the absolute right about it. If at all Bitcoin would relinquish this position, it should have done that many years ago since it is not without flaws. It is these flaws that are giving many other coins/tokens relevance with people as they are able to cover up for the shortcomings of Bitcoin in all possible ramifications which include but are not limited to scalability, fee and speed.

I can't imagine that memecoin will challenge bitcoin. Memecoins are temporary coins i think. They are today but not tomorrow. Memecoins first show 10x, 50x or 100x hype. Seeing this, we can think that they will challenge bitcoin. But after one or two years the real situation is understood. No coin has been able to challenge Bitcoin so far and will not be able to in the future.

Exactly. Tons of coins have more utility, existed for a longer time, and not one of them got close to BTC. Thinking that memecoin can beat Bitcoin is truly ridiculous.

Bitcoin has been existing for more than 15 years now. Meme coins got the limelight in 2021 and only a few coins that started in that year are still existing. They come and go and only a few investors make good profit from them. Whereas those who have been holding Bitcoin or those who are buying Bitcoin now know that it will become more valuable and more profitable than those shit coins as time goes by. I doubt any altcoin or any narrative can challenge Bitcoin or its existence.

No coin has yet been born to rival Bitcoin. If you notice the most valuable altcoin is definitely Ethereum and this coin is nowhere near Bitcoin. Where altcoins don't dare to challenge bitcoin is just how bitcoin compares to cheap meme coins. Meme coins often generate hype and people are attracted to them because they offer more at a lower price, so it doesn't mean that Bitcoin will outperform meme coins. I can't imagine that meme coin will surpass bitcoin.

That's just an example from the OP, if we look at the fact that everyone knows BTC as the king now and the ratings are far and away.

Memes do have their own advantages as supporters of the growth of this ecosystem and also often create hype which makes many people flock to buy them. It's just the risks that are often not paid enough attention to, if you make the wrong choice it will be very painful.

Depends on what on the potnetials you mean Op, but if it's about beating in price, such could be possible because there's a highily influence on the meme hype contributing to the fact that they're highily volatile that's to say they can be pumped and so they can be dumped too. But while considering Investors goal towards your question Op, we should also ask, what does investors really have to invest? Some are to quick income while some are to store asset values so looking at this, bitcoin has a longer term of storing value while the MemeCoins could be of Short term so, possibilities of the MemeCoins to surpass the value of bitcoin in the nearest is possible but while on a long run, bitcoin would always keep a potential values due to its stability over the MemeCoins values.
ETHs ETF has also been approved so anytime could be possible to happen if the bitcoins developers and engineers relents to stay stagnant without advanced improvements then anything possible for Altcoin to challenge bitcoin could happen but for now, there's no possible thought for that

Most of the peoples already give solid replies about this with we all know about this all how working so still having confusion like this or creating hype like this is never been going to work for anyone
Seriously! If one genuinely believes that bitcoin can be replaced by a memecoin then they must be going crazy. Even if someone tries to hype up a memecoin it will never compare to bitcoin and the lengths bitcoin has taken. Even if memecoins advance their technology and have some utility it is no match for bitcoin.
