I wouldn't think bitcoin tumbling would be used anymore with the emergence of monero, dash and verge being available to use as an anonymous alternative to using these cryptomixers.

it would,if you have your stash in bitcoins, there will be no sense in buying Monero or dash
and then paying the fees to transact, possibly lose on the exchange rate
and after all convert back?
there is also no 100% guarantee that your purchased coins cannot be traced to an exchange or exchanger you have been using
you will leave at least some fingerprints,so why not just use the mixer first place
but with Bitfury planning to introduce their new tracing system -  http://cryptotimes.org/bitcoin/bitfury-exposed-millions-blockchain-users/
even bitcoin mixers might become obsolete soon

There are different risk models to consider here. DASH and ZCASH transactions have been successfully traced. Verge is a joke; it's Wraith update is literally 4-year-old stealth address technology. Stay away from it.

Monero is the only privacy coin standing the test of time, but we are only a few years in. All of this technology is highly experimental and blockchain analysis companies are working hard to de-anonymize it.

My point is, don't put all your eggs in one basket. Consider a multi-stage approach to mixing/tumbling. Don't ever assume that any one link in the chain is fully secure. Honeypots are everywhere, and small cryptocurrency networks (even with privacy features) can essentially be honeypots due to their size.

So...Chipmixer is legit??
ChipMixer is legit. Don't take my word for it, read through 42 pages here: [ANN] ChipMixer - mixing reinvented
Be careful though, make sure you use the REAL website ChipMixer or ChipMixer on Tor. This warning applies to all mixers: many fake sites advertise on Google to steal your funds.

I may be biased (as you can see) but in my opinion, the best tumbler (mixer) to use right now is Chipmixer. You just need to read the FAQ, it's self-explanatory and quite simple.

If you've already used one as you seem to indicate, then it should be no problem to you. The unique feature with Chipmixer is that it uses "chips" - pre-funded with Bitcoin, so even from the start there's no link to your deposit. There are other options you can do with these chips (merge, split, donate or even bet!) - all off-chain to increase the element of randomness for your privacy. You just use the private keys with each chip any time you want them.

Fees are as low as you want - it uses a donation feature. That's as cheap as it gets with tumblers!

You can PM me or ask in the thread if you need more assistance: https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/ann-chipmixercom-bitcoin-mixer-bitcoin-tumbler-mixing-reinvented-1935098

Agreed and I think BitMixer would not have survived with the high miners fees they had. I also like the way Chipmixer is

doing it, because it will be much cheaper. My problem with most mixers were the "trust" issue, but Chipmixer managed to

find a way to reduce that, which is nice.  Cheesy

I've read some stuff here https://www.reddit.com/r/grams/ and searched everywhere on the internet to help you but it seems that everything was talking about of 'exit scam'. I don't know about helix grams personally because i haven't use it yet but it could be possible that they exit scam already, since a lot of people have complaints already. Maybe they had a support that you can ask to so just try to ask them about all of your questions.
