I didn't say that you should never bet money. I said that you should play for a while for free to learn the basics. Poker requires knowledge and skill, and betting real money the very first times you play when you don't understand the game is just throwing your money away.

I agree, don't just dive in if you don't really know the game. My suggestion to OP is don't do Poker, try other which he had knowledge.

They don't care about the small players that are hoping to win big with their small bankroll but they will likely to end drought after few tables.

He can master and practice with the game through play for free or trial based bets so he can have some idea on how to play with it properly.

There are free apps where can practice.

Why do you want to learn this? Before asking this type of questions always think what can it give you that will also give you an advantage or maybe a profit.

You are asking to learn how to gamble, in that case you are ready to lose a lot of money on it. Gambling is a game of luck and I think it is better that you don't gamble at all since it may destroy your life. You are like asking where the gate of suffering and regret is trying to get in there. Instead of betting those ETH and BTC try to invest them, if you want to play poker, there are a lot of applications from PC to android that you can play.

Would completely agree with it's not even worth to try poker online with real money, you first need to understand the basics of the game and then play for a while so you can kind off master in it.

After you think you know the basics go ahead with it you might lose in starting but you will learn and hopefully make profit

Poker is highly skilled game and certainly one should be staying away from it if you cannot understand the game and do not have the required skill set in order to win the games other dealer and contestant. It requires lot of experience as well to judge and play your cards.

I will just advice because I do not like to play with cryptocurrencies because it is not safe and you will lose your valuable cryptocurrencies like the Bitcoin and Ethereum. You should continue with regular currency and should play for fun and entertainment.

On the other hand if you want to play poker you will need to get experience so that you may be able to win because it is tough to win here and depends upon luck and your best knowledge.

First register yourself on Facebook, if you still don't have it and play poker there for free. While you do that, try to find a good poker with free rolls, maybe coinpoker. After you do this practice, practice, practice more, while you do that read about poker strategies, watch some videos and try to apply that in your play. Practice more, try to make chips, try to stay cold and have self control.
When you think you are ready try to invest some money and try some tournament or cash game with micro buy in, if you are good you will make some money and you will play tournaments with bigger buy in, you will have money for strong cash games.
It's important for you to use free games in order to learn poker, you can pay that school if you have money but you don't need to do that, I hope I helped.
