No those 2 contries are non democratic ruled by tyrans. They can't create something possitive. They're more likely to ban bitcoin

Can Russia or China done such a thing to erase the dominance of the dollar over the world?

Generally, there are always governments behind such technologies. For example, StuxNet

I guess so, they are one of the most powerful countries in the world and they are not even late with technology. They are also one of the most countries that can do whatever it takes to be dominant in everything. If they just want to create something new and with the same bitcoin technology, I know they can.

if by create you mean adding and building their personal famr, well it could be they have the money to build a massive farm and compete with regular miners

this is another dangerous way for the government in the future, to control bitcoin, via network

now that i'm thinking about it, the government might take its tax income via fee with its mining activity if they ever want to go with that route

If bitcoin was created by some nation then why they released the code of it publicly and made it decentralized?
This way their creation is out of their hands and they can't control it anymore.
Creation of something you can't control, use for your own good, exploit or sell doesn't have much sense.

Both countries have some greedy shady characters. If I were to guess the country of origin of Bitcoin my best shot would be Canada. Because everyone loves Canada and Canada loves everyone  Cheesy

Why do people like to come up with different conspiracy theories when it comes Bitcoin, it doesn't care where is now created because it is an open sourced project and is not been developed in isolation. What would China or Russia gained from an open sourced project.

Stuxnet targeted industrial control systems that are being used to monitor and control large scale industrial facilities like power plants, dams, waste processing systems and similar operations. This was such a complicated worm, that most experts deemed this as a government sanctioned attack on specific countries. {In this case, Iran's Natanz nuclear facility}

The Bitcoin protocol is Open Source, so it would be very difficult to hide any malicious code for anything like this to happen.

the IMF is already reinventing money.
it wont be using bitcoin.

fiat and bitcoin dont and wont mix.
bitcoin should not let itself become fiat 2.0 either, otherwise no lessons are learned if bitcoin just turned into fiat2.0

the new IMF SDR arrangements which they added china to in october (causing the second UK <-> US decline of 2016 (first one related to brexit in june))

IMF are going with hyperledger. which then has sidechains for the national currencies to sub audit.
then those national sidechains,, sidechain off for banking treasury, insurance, commodities, stocks, shares, etc

like branching out like a tree.. but upside down (or an octopus with many more legs and many more suckers attached to those legs
with the IMF at the main branch/top of pyramid/brain of the octopus, being the main auditor/arbitrator of all the sidechains.

Op your title says one thing, your post says something else only. No the government doesnt control Bitcoin and Bitcoin without dollar how will you use it. I do hope btc is priced in dollars. There have been few attempts to create alt coins but they have failed, some countries have tried to implement the blockchain technology without understanding it was bitcoin that made the technology popular and not the technology. So stick to Bitcoins only nothing going to change it and no government can do anything about it.

I dont think so. Even at first, china and Russia tried to  ban bitcoin, but when they realized that it could be only be banned if internet is banned, they dropped their idea. Now, they are keenly noticing the progress of bitcoin. In future, they might try to create their own digital currency adopting the techniques of bitcoin.

what is this? another one of conspiracy theories that we need to wear our tinfoil hats to read?
if Russia or China created bitcoin they would have been mining it from day one and never let the majority of hash power exit their country and certainly would never let other people in the world buy bitcoin and become whales.
like altcoins with premine and other scams to control the whole number of coins.

Government may not be behind creation of bitcoin so i don't think there is any political agenda of russia or china. It has been created to give financial freedom to normal users like us, bitcoin is a gift to us by satoshi nakamoto which can be any group or individual.
It is quite unlikely for any government to create something that they won't benefit from. With the creation of bitcoin, decentralization was at the center of it. It was something that's created to act as an independent currency, free from any government interference. The governments may soon come up with other currencies also, but maybe just as a form of investment.

We cant confirm that unless it was proven. These 2 countries have the biigest technology in the world. They are powerhouse in term of technologies. But i doubt that Russia is the creator of bitcoin. In fact. Russian government have banned bitcoin recently. Not only bitcoin but also all cryptocurrencies. But they decided to adopt bitcoin lately. Theres no creator who dont patronize his own creation.

although no one can say it clearly that either bitcoin is created by Russian or Chinies, but one thing is clear that any government have no concern with bitcoin, because both the governments have shown no such interest in bitcoin. but may be a big company or corporation or a a group of people or may be a sing person has created bitcoin, either from China or Russia or may be from some where else and i think it is the beauty of bitcoin that still no one no about its creator and that is the reason that people are giving preference to use bitcoin.

who cares, bitcoin is an open source currency that anybody around the world can use decentralized and secure.
and it is highly possible that it will never change anything in the world of fiat if it becomes big.

Obviously not, because then it can also be a threat to their own currency, and if there was some kind of backdoor, I am sure developers looking into the code would have seen it. With no control, none of the governments would be a fan of this.

Generally, there are always governments behind such technologies. For example, StuxNet

they are already doing it, but US dollar dominance is not built in a day, it is not that easy to be destroyed. In the end, it all depends on the economical strength. With Trump now, US economy will go up quickly so I don't see US dollar will go away any time soon.

Your thread is propaganda for Russia and China?

If it's created by governments you will definitely in the wrong place to get information.
It's waste of time to speculate on this.
No one knows.
Even if it's created by governments no one will come in this thread an publicise, you will read only posts from monkeys who do not know what they are talking about and other signature bots.
Learn to forget about past almost every payment in the future will be digital, there will be no dollars, rubles or other physical currencies.
There's nothing special about American currency, Russian or Chinese, you want to know how dominance looks?
Look at North Korea
Dominance is an thing of the past.
This is an era when people unite together.
We don't want wars we create european union to become brothers and sisters.
Now we have Bitcoin that unites us all together and focusing on a physical currencies is the same like riding on a horse to Paris, let's use a car.
You and your country is not special, humanity progress will show us the path.
I suggest you to lock this thread.

The inventor may or may not be from Russia or China. Bitcoin could be invented by any one from/and any country. It could even be the least technology-savvy country. He/she/they may also come from the future.

It looks like a technology backed up by a government. However it may be not. Public do not know, yet.
