No internet, we have nothing, so the transaction is confirmed need a network of Node. No internet, no Node

That is why many people cannot deal with Bitcoins even if they are eager to do it. There is no Internet connection in the regions and the countries when they do live.

I think your question once again exposes one of the big weakness of cryptocurrency. It is generally called digital currency because it involves usage with internet gadget. However, it is even better that the receiver need not be connected to the internet to facilitate the transaction. It would have been nice if there was an option of internet usage and manually. Maybe internet being for faster transaction and manual for those who don't mind waiting  Roll Eyes

True. Cryptocurrency's biggest weakness is Internet. As long as there is Internet, cryptos can be used, without it, it's nothing.

Although you still own your crypto that's plus point haha

I dont really get whats the sense of offline transaction when all people are now have easy access in the internet, if theres such thing an offline transaction I will never trust it because it is easy to hack an offline system.

we really can't do anything about bitcoin when we don't have an internet network, but I'm sure when bitcoin is legal in the world the government will find a solution.
Lol has nothing to do directly when the government legalizes then you can use and transact bitcoin without the internet? because only by using internet media, then we can connect to the blockchain network, without the internet we cannot make transactions and spending

I never heard about something like sending bitcoin without internet access. Because as far as i know, bitcoin and internet surely has a strong correlation.
We need internet to access our bitcoin, without internet there's no way we can use our bitcoin.
That's why i think it's impossible that we can do the transaction using bitcoin without internet.
I don't really understand how that mesh connection works or something but if really is possible maybe you can try to do it?

No, It is not possible at all. Because Bitcoin is an online-based currency. It can only be traded in online with a strong network. I don't see any chance of offline transactions for with the bitcoin. You can use pocket wifi or other strong gadgets to work in villages, but without an Internet connection, you can't trade bitcoin.
Yes.I agree.Bitcoin transactions cannot be successfully done without a strong internet connection. There should be an internet access if you want to send or receive bitcoin,or trade with it.If not,you will keep on repeating your transactions again and again without realizing your goal.

Yes Internet was like the brain of bitcoin when it compare to human body. No one will function without it. Just like in bitcoin, how can you going to access it or even transfer it to other people without Internet. It was also like the bridge that connect one people to another user of it.

Unfortunately not, but in the future we hope to see internet covers every single corner of the world so we are able to access it anywhere anytime. That way we do not have to be worried about not being able to send/receive Bitcoin due to lack of internet.

I don't think that Bitcoin can be used without the Internet. I don't see the problem. While there is electricity the internet also works.

Yeah very sure it can be sent with the paper wallet without the internet. But for the paper wallet I don't really believe in it because its not so safe for me. As for trading I don't know much about it.

Yes. Well, I think this is also one of the cons of bitcoin, you can not used it in some areas where internet signals are weak or did not reach. Mesh network is good to used if you have also an internet and transfer to another. But how about the remote area they can not used bitcoin to their transactions. Thats why we can not say that cryptocurrency could replace fiat.

The revolution will be monetized!
If you have a HAM radio license look into "packet radio". Code has been developed to run a node over the air. I just got licensed to find out more.

With the loss of net-neutrality it will be critical to move the blockchain off the internet. It may just be a few more years before you will pay a fee to your ISP every time you use crypto. Or perhaps it wont be allowed at all? Without net-neutrality your internet service provider has exclusive control of your internet use and can make any rule they like.

I don't think this is possible as to the latest Technology bitcoin was built on. All transactions and access go through the medium of internet, I don't see anything been done without the access of the internet. But maybe in the later future we might have an offline bitcoin or even blockchain transaction

A big No! Bitcoin and altcoins are crypto currencies and are not having any physical existence. So that thing cannot be used as a consideration which is not physically present. So if you want to use crypto, internet connection is must.
You can request your government to provide internet facilities in rural areas.

I think it is not possible right now to sent or received bitcoin without any use of the internet. But if the mesh network can make it possible, then it's very well thing. But how could we reach towards the mesh network without using the internet?

I think Bitcoin can exist without the need to connect to the Internet if we are silently using external sidechains, and using laitining network. In this case, we will not need to constantly contact with Internet.
