it can be used by astronomers in space of course, bitcoin runs in the internet world. of course there are internet in outer space but based on the video article by the astronomers it has a weak signal. which means it could transact bitcoin slower than here in the world but they can access it i think. they can use as here in bitcointalk.org but i bet they cannot mine due to the weak signal even if internet consume a little bit of internet i guess.  they can participate in campaigns and other things. such as gambles and trading i guess. but no doubt. they can access it.

What are you going to buy in space? Well, at the time we can actively surfing the space - it will be something else instead Bitcoin.

Strange questions) In fact, I did not even think about whether there is Internet in space, but if there is, you can pay bitcoins on a nearby planet for a cup of coffee)

It's an interesting question, but I don't think it's really necessary for cosmonauts. For what? This will be superfluous, besides bitcoin developers will need to bother much to do this.
We don't know what an astronaut is actually doing in space. And if in the space ship, they're not provided the internet. How boring their lives are. So maybe they can gamble with bitcoin as a bet, if the internet does exist. You know, astronauts will one day go back to earth. They won't stay forever in space.

Just curious, since the Internet is mostly an Earthly thing... would astronauts be able to access and transfer their Bitcoins whilst traveling throughout the solar system?

As long as the spacemen out there are connected to the internet, then there's a guarantee they have access to the internet as well as their bitcoins. Wouldn't be amazing to have bitcoins in space or on literally the moon. Crazy as it may sound, but Bitcoins literally went to the moon.

Bitcoin can be used even in space, just need to have internet connection.
An astronaut can send money to his home through bitcoin.
If we talk about buying land on another planet in the future, then we can also buy land on another planet by paying by bitcoine.

Yes of course, as long as they have internet network and can communicate to earth. Astronauts can get the internet using radio waves and lasers. So they can use bitcoin.

your question is really too far from what happened and thought, the answer if the facilities and infrastructure can support it all can happen

What's the use in space? is there life already there? I think it is useless because bitcoin is a mass transaction system used? And most importantly bitcoin can only be used if connected to the internet.

Sure, as long we have an internet to connect into bitcoin network, we can use it anywhere.
bitcoin is decentralized. no central database required in bitcoin. if there is internet in the space, we can use bitcoin.

The Bitcoin community is using the Bitcoin network, it is important to remember that the Bitcoin network is not based on a system of credit like conventional banking. A Bitcoin network in transaction is automatically verified and there is no need to synchronize. So, the need for Net of Bitcoin transactions, no place or country is not a matter.

Is a very interesting topic. If one day bitcoin can be use in the daily trading like most of the currency, i think it might be able to use in space. Maybe the technique of bitcoin can be use as a reference for the recording system in the space, who knows.

We can transfer money wherever you are on the Internet. It's easy now. Whether from the phone or from the computer.
If there is internet in the space, money can be transferred from here. It is important for us to transfer money in a cheap, fast and easy way.
With the Blokchain system they have been realized. I hope to improve.

I'm not being aware as of now that it actually can be done while someone in the space busy doing Her/His work, therefore will NASA paying their employee crypto in the future? We will never know what would be the plan for this information leaked.
