I believe that Bitcoin can't become a bigger investment than real estate because their usage is different. Bitcoin has alternatives like fiat, cash and altcoins but real estate doesn't have an alternative, everyone needs a house. The level of medicine is increasing, our life expectancy is growing, the mentality of leaving parents and moving to a new basement is increasing everywhere and the older generation, those above 40+ have left almost the same number of years to live, these people are going to invest in real estate instead of Bitcoin.
Bitcoin can become bigger than gold but comparing it to real estate is not a good idea. If we have a declining population and it becomes hard to rent a house, then Bitcoin will be above the real estate but till that problem doesn't exist, there is no competition for real estate.

Of course it can because bitcoin has the power to provide certainty for investment and maybe in the last few years we can see how the development of bitcoin has gained such a wide place with the advantages it provides. I am very optimistic that bitcoin will beat other best investments ever because that certainty has actually happened and bitcoin has become one of the assets sought by most people and even countries, as well as companies are also starting to consider bitcoin reserves now.

Some other assets such as gold have a much larger market capitalization compared to bitcoin, but it is possible that in the next few years bitcoin's capitalization will surpass gold as has happened in silver. Bitcoin already is one of the best performing financial assets in the world. I don't count all the memecoins that went 20x or 100x, because I consider memecoin trading to be gambling, not investing. Why do you want Bitcoin to be "the biggest" investment? Does size matter that much? I don't believe that Bitcoin is going to become bigger than real estate investing. Everyone needs a house, every company needs real estate properties for building an office. Not everyone in the world needs Bitcoin. What do you mean by "key investment in the world"? Bitcoin isn't some kind of panacea, that will solve all global problems. Bitcoin won't create cheap and sustainable energy out of nowhere.
Maybe you should find another form of investment, that is going to help the world(in one way or another).

Use a case of ten year ago and compare Bitcoin to any investment instrument and see it became very clear that Bitcoin have no rival when it comes to investment. But that doesn't mean that it will, it just means that the possibility is technically there but that's about it. I personally believe that we are going to face some issues on the long run, so we need to be careful about it, and I can see how this could change as well, it doesn't mean we are going to end up with a good result that easily, we could end up with some issues time to time, but that doesn't mean that we are going to end up with a good solution that easily.

I have to say this has to be one of the most important parts of the promise bitcoin has, that it would make us more money than other stuff, doesn't mean it will be "best" right away, but it would be better profit than everything else.

The possibilities of it happening are much and it won’t be something of surprise when we see it happen soon. Bitcoin has already gotten an edge in terms of financial freedom when compared to other traditional payment systems. The value in it has an asset has now made it be on a competitive advantage with other top assets in the world that one can invest into. The bitcoin market is very volatile but still has a competitive advantage over real estates and gold that have been existing for many years now. Real estate hasn’t also lost its relevance and very soon, we may see a shift to bitcoin and a more balances investment in both of them. The volatile nature of bitcoin doesn’t make it more reliable, but it is an investment that is worth investing into with less risk.

I'm responding to this thread base on the title of the thread. The future is unpredicted and you can't tell if bitcoin can become world biggest investment. Let just concentrate on bitcoin in this era and try to make advantage over it. Invest in it now, don't wait for the future before to invest ,waiting to know if bitcoin will be the biggest investment by then. All I can say is that bitcoin is doing greatly as an asset , so it is possible for it to be one of the biggest investment for the future.

No one can predict the future and that will make people lose interest in starting now. Bitcoin has provided certainty for the best investment issue that can hedge and at least in the last few years there has been so much progress achieved by bitcoin.
