Why are we just speculating about the price of bitcoins instead of enjoy what bitcoin really is?

Like I really do not care what price of bitcoin is. I just use it to send money with less fee nothing else its fast and I can get paid fast. simple.

Yeah, sure. It's not 2012 anymore when Bitcoin was worth pennys. Many people here made a substantial or even life-changing amount of money by investing early in this technology. They and pretty much everyone who is in the market is obviously speculation on a bull therefore highly watching the price.

The "real" real-life use cases are probably below <1% of the daily blockchain growth, when most of the transactions are between personal wallets and/or exchanges.

That is 1 more year to go and we know volatility affects the market. We can't even easily give a near to perfect forecast in just a week/month much pretty hard of we will go year after. If there is another huge market event that could drag the market pumps well, the possibility will still be there but I'd think there is nothing to make it possible. However, we don't have to close some instances and might able to see a huge market demand, users and investors will come hopefully. But above all, I'm not confident enough that it pushes like that making its way to $25k for that simple.

Bitcoin prices are going up and down these days.
You mean, like pretty much since the inception of bitcoin?
He probably means lately, as in the last couple of weeks--because before that bitcoin was stuck in one of its trading ranges that it tends to stall out in from time to time, but I understood your point completely.  Those stall-outs are just periods of stability in what is otherwise a very volatile asset.

If you're giving bitcoin until 2021 to hit $25k, I would say it's certainly possible and perhaps even desirable.  If it was to hit that level in a couple months from now, the market might be in danger of a crash.  But if bitcoin saw slow gains instead of major spikes, it would probably be sustainable.  It took 10 years for bitcoin to comfortably be able to hold a price in the $8000s with seemingly no danger of crashing.  That's the way I see it anyway.  When bitcoin goes crazy to the upside, there's always been a heavy correction that follows.

In any case, even if $25k isn't reached within a year I'd be more than happy if it got to $10k-15k in that same time frame.

Bitcoin prices are going up and down these days. People are hopeful that the price of Bitcoin may well go up by 2021. Bitcoin has been legalized in a number of countries, due to which Bitcoin prices are now recovering. If the price of Bitcoin goes up to 25,000 by 2020, it will be very difficult to buy.

25k usd is quite reasonable target for 2021. It can reach over 20k usd in the next bull run. Eachbull runs supposed to end with a higher all time high.

2021 is too far, Grin - why not expect it this year, we all have the reasons to see bitcoin pump this year, the halving hype itself is big enough to change the status of bitcoin now, from bearish to bullish, that's everyone's expectation because people love to follow the trend.

well, maybe they think that prices this year can reach $ 15,000 or even higher. I think because of some opinions stating that the rise in bitcoin prices after halving will begin the following year, it underpins them to speculate in 2021. I also think that the potential for bitcoin to reach its new ATH is in 2021. However, the possibility of a $ 25,000 price can be achieved if the price of bitcoin at the end of this year is close to, or in the range of $ 20000.

When we're at 2021 and that expensive price made us mad of buying bitcoin at that level, then we shouldn't accumulate our holdings right now. Don't waste your time before it's too late, let's grab the chance while it's available right now. Currently I was checking bitcoin price, and it's now climbing towards $9k. This is somehow a good signs that it's heading upward for possible pumps. So this is our greater chance to meet the highest price sooner, but we need to be more vigilant because we still randomly experiencing bear market.

If the price of Bitcoin goes up to 25,000 by 2020, it will be very difficult to buy.

It's not hard to buy Bitcoin at the current market, you can opt to buy partial amount in terms of satoshis. Moreover, $25000 will just be a lower end when Bitcoin reaches full implementation on both digital and local markets. Buy now before it's too late.

Indeed, halving will take effect giving a good reason for the entire market to bounce back and reclaim the bull season. Though it's just speculative guess  and demands alone will bring the reality for another strong bullish term to dominate the while industry.
We are all hoping for good market trends to bumped and achieved another new high for Bitcoin and the rest of those good Alts around.

In my opinion, it is impossible to predict the price of BTC in next year because simply we can't really know what kind of incidents or events will happen in the near future. Regrettably, we are literally live in a pessimistic  world, we barely see a good news, due to most of people have a negative thoughts about all the things, that's really a shame to be honest, but you don't need to follow and listen to these sheep, walk alone and try to create your own destiny and hopefully that Bitcoin will rise with a significant value maybe after the halving , we have been very patient for real.

This is not far fetch, in my opinion, conservative estimates, instead of hearing like 6 digits by this xxxx year. We almost reach $20k in 2017, so if we are going to based on the 4 year cycle for bitcoin market, perhaps by 2021 we may reach new all time high. So this is doable, specially if we're going to see FOMO setting in that will push the price to this levels. Bitcoin has proven it already, so there is a big possibility that we can do it again, just saying.

We are still at the $8k mark now and reaching $25,000 in a span of say 2 years is good but it sounds unrealistic. I understand that you have trust in bitcoin but lets face it, a lot has been going on now like conflict between countries that somehow affected the price, supply and demand of coins, scam accusations linking to bitcoins and many others factors that can somehow affect bitcoin, I think if it will be in the $15k mark in 2021 then it'll be a good start for bitcoin.
Welcome to the world of bitcoin, the price right now does not offer you any glimpse of the valuation it can attain in the next two years but after the halving just watch how the market turns upside down and starts moving up within an year, if you look at the past rallies you will understand the trend and that is what i am expecting this year too, we have a few months for the halving and lets see how the market will react to that.

Getting to know we might not break the ATH soon worries me. It has been a long period of market low, though we believe we are in the bull market but not with the big rally. I expect at least 8 months after halving to see a price above previous ATH but if we something different this year, will be equally glad. It can only mean that Christmas might come early.

Very difficult, but if it still pumped of course there are someone who still buy it. Maybe only him who know the reason, like when it is on last peak. It wouldn't get peak if there are no one who bought it right, but i hope people who bought bitcoin in high price not lose  a lot.
Still, so many people are there who believe in the potential of bitcoin and they are buying without any doubt of losing because they know one-day bitcoin is going to pump this much. Waiting gives everything so if we will wait accordingly we can see bitcoin pumping even higher. Time heals the pain and perience heals the bearish market so I think it's possible to see the price rising above $25k.

Bitcoin's buying price was 6500 USD and that was about 1 month ago! Right now, people still can buy because it's still not too late if you plan the long term. After Q3 of 2018, we have been talking that Bitcoin price will hit 20K-25K USD, 30K, 50K, 100K USD at the end of the year. 2018 has gone, 2019 too, but Bitcoin price did not cross even 14K USD after the bear run. So, I am not sure what will the actual price be, but by 2021, 20-25K USD is very possible for the Bitcoin, as the halving is coming and after 6 months of halving, BTC price should grow well like before.

I'm going to keep this one short, follow up on the previous analysis. Price bounced up quite nicely from the 8200/300, looked like it broke the wedge resistance line, but was hanging above it quite strangely. It wasn't a flag, also not a nice triangle. Was prob whales distributing and pushing price back down again.

Anyway, not a lot has changed with the picture. Maybe we never broke the resistance like this. But we are closing in at the end of the wedge , something i never like. The deeper it goes, the less reliable it becomes. Hopefully we get some of your wishful price action. Smiley

No one can say for certain whether the price of Bitcoin may rise in 2020. Because, the price of bitcoin is difficult to predict in advance. Bitcoin didn't take long for a huge price increase from about $ 3100 last year. So we have to consider both sides. As prices can rise rapidly, they can decrease rapidly. So those long term holders do not worry about sudden price increases or price decrease. However, if Bitcoin cross $ 25k in 2020, it will be worth seeing.

yes you are right no one could predict the price of bitcoin because the price of bitcoin is very uncertain and even sometimes it takes few hours to increase but sometimes a long time is require for a little growth, however the price of bitcoin sometimes gives us hints aboout the price prediction as now we all are hopeful for the halving and may be after that the price become high in 2021.

25000$ by 2021, which is certainly the most modest prediction I've seen. Currently the price of bitcoin is being traded at $ 8400 and will continue to rise this year, because in May we will have a bitcoin halving and it will help increase the price of Bitcoin like it used to. I believe this year the price of bitcoin will go up to at least $ 15,000 and by 2021 it will be much higher, 25000$ is workable for bitcoin in the future
