Yes obviously bitcoin could help poor country because it could be earned for free and could be made for free, assume that initial investment is taken into consideration. if they could earn free bitcoin then obviously they could sell those bitcoin and get real money in their own currency.
Personally, I think that it is not really the mission of Bitcoin to specifically help poorer countries or on that regard seems like having a philanthropy leaning. Of course, in some aspects it can influence countries to streamline or to make people realize that they have a good alternative they can use financially. In fact, with the way Bitcoin is rising now I don't hink poor can be interesting in owning a part of Bitcoin but that is just my assumption.

Hence collecting bitcoin does add up as a significant side/part-time earning for me. Even if I sell my coins I am at huge profit according to my local currency. Hence for me it is profitable. However in many countries the basic amenities of life are more available in exchange of fiat and bitcoin has never been heard of there.

For some part it can help the bitcoin countries but for the most it will not help them at all to be honest because its something that can really boost up a economy, the economy of such countries is just so bad that it cannot be fixed by the bitcoin alone.

The mining industry nowadays requires you to invest thousands of dollars into equipment where you continuously keep adding extra gear in order to not fall behind due to the constantly increasing difficulty.
