I'm from a poor country and Bitcoin helps me, does that count? Other alt coins help me too, and my family.
Bitcoin is money and money is almighty.

It would be interesting to hear your story.  How does bitcoin help you?  How do you use it?  What is it about bitcoin that makes providing for your family easier?  Is it the fact that you can earn some easily on the internet, or does it open new avenues for you to take advantage of opportunities that weren't available to you before?  Tell your story.

bitcoin certainly helped in terms of finance and economics dude? what do you help someone out of poverty or poor, of course with money right ? you know there are many people who become rich and large profits from bitcoin
so why not? use bitcoin  to help you get out of poverty?

Yes that is possible and it is really, but the main reason why does countries are very poor because they are lack of innovation to their country. Even though bitcoin is ready to give them good help with their finance and economics, but the facilities are needing to be upgraded first and as well as educate the people before the implementation.

Bitcoin has an ability to help poor people like bitcoin give a platform to people to earn some money, it's up to the people how much they make from Bitcoin and if you are talking about a whole country, then it 's hard because bitcoin is not an NGO that will give people free money. Bitcoin is for those who are hard working.
It has ability but you need to considered if the people there is can afford to buy gadgets to access bitcoin which is people there much prefer to buy foods and clothes than buying gadgets also they need to have internet connection.

Only Bitcoin will not help any poor country. "The bright minds" usually are leaving learn and to work in other, more advanced countries. How poor countries could use the blockchain technology if they have no young and talented people, but they have the outdated bureaucratic system.

Developing countries also need just a computer and internet connection to earn bitcoins online, and they no need to have any technology to use them because people can exchange that bitcoin in any other country and get their money in some other ways but just need to pay some fee. If people know how to earn bitcoins online then it will help them a lot in those poor countries because of its high price as of now.

Yes you are right. But I'm talking about the blockchain technology, new startups and so on. Wink

Yes...it seems that there are many who rely on faucet earnings, signature campaigns, and offer walls to supplement their incomes in poorer regions....But, I don't see much here in regards to the other potentials that blockchain technologies offer, such as, its ability to offer a viable entry way into the growing global market place.

With the introduction of BTC / Alt-faucets, people in third world countries can make a portion of their income if they stick to a list of 100.

Sometimes this on top of investing it, on top of price increases + new ways to make it... This completes around .20-60 cents a day for most people in 3 hours. That's enough to live off for a minor in certain areas of China, India & Malaysia.

Imagine how it looked 10 years ago with only factory work and sending money to family or bonds. Now it's completely different, people invest while earning from diverse sources.

Overall, I think If Bitcoin / Alternative cryptocurrencies solve as many problems as they do now it looks like more will be solved not too long from now.

I dont know how bitcoin helps you,but yes bitcoin can certainly help many indiviaduals, providing cheap and quick online transactions or even providing some earning oportunities online as well.

Exactly this. Transactions with Bitcoins not only cheap, they almost nothing compared to  Western Union for example. And they are really fast, you just have to include the recommended transaction fee which right now is just 0.0002 or $0.14.
we are talking about the same thing (transaction fees), but from different viewpoints. because i think bitcoin is not cheap. i if use wire transfer with my bank i pay NOTHING for it and it is not slow. did it yesterday and the money was in under 1 hour transferred. no need for confirmations either.
if i pay $0.14 everyday this sums up in a month to $4.20 or $50 in a year.
Okay, we may say it is not that cheap. However, I think that $50 in a yearis that money you don't even notice. You may just uy a bit more or a bit less food and that's it. Oh, and I wanted to ask how much you spent on your bitcoin wallet and on your credit card? For me btc wallet is free whereas a usd card will cost about 10$ per month at least.
What do you mean its free so you mean you are just collecting bitcoin here in forum atlease 10$ usd per week..  honsetly bitcoin for me is not free but there is opportunity that you are earning bitcoins just doing signature campaign..
And i think the fee is not a problem since we can use other online wallet like coin base that you dont need to pay for transaction..

Sometime i feel it is like a fiat currency

Some times? Bitcoin is in fact like fiat/money. Just looking at the value aspect, whether you hold $100 in BTC or a $100 note, it's the same. It's money.

but the different is that only fiat currency has a fizical appearance but bitcoin has not.

Fiat being something physical isn't the only difference. Whatever dollar note you're looking at, it's just something that says it has a certain value. If you calculate that way, then even a physical coin with a private key containing 1BTC is also the same in that regard. Difference in this case is that in order to spend these coins, you will need an internet connection.

I think bitcoin will not help a country to improve. But Poor peoples maybe can. I am a normal living person in my country but bitcoin helps me alot. The problem is just ibternet connection it is limited in our country. And poor peoples here are not having their internet connection because its limited and they dont have the idea of bitcoin

This is a normal situation in places strucked by poverty... Poor internet connection, Higher cost of education and lesser opportunity after graduate... But anyway, poor people need basic knowledge about computer, that is the "key", so they could use bitcoin, and if they are willing to earn start working for it... So, they should take advantage of free vocational courses and free trainings about computer offered at those countries, that's the only way they could be helped by bitcoin...  Smiley

That is the problem why it cant just help any poor countries. It needs some knowledge about it. It will the willingness of people if they will want to get into it. I doubt they will.
If one will start its own remittance center using the blockchain, I think that would be possible and it can help the poor countries since the charge a business that will collect will relatively small compared to the normal rates of legitimate remittance businesses..

However,it is only good for international remittances.

It would  be  still useless to put  up remittance center  using   blockchain because fees  would  be smaller and  would  not be  ideal  to  build a  business on. And no one  would  intend to  transfer money  into bitcoin  on your  place depending  on the adoption on your  place. If the awareness is  high  then  maybe  possible  but  profit is  not guaranteed.  In  my  own  view  bitcoin could only help  poor countries  regarding  on its  earning  opportunity.

Yeah, many good benefits are here in bitcoin. First, when we start to use the bitcoin than we realize it is best not only for earning wise, even we can utilize it in anywhere like purchasing the goods, foods, gifts and use the transfer amount and paying the bills and etc. Sometime i feel it is like a fiat currency, but the different is that only fiat currency has a fizical appearance but bitcoin has not.

Can Bitcoin or any other altcoin help poor countries?
how? what can be done?

Bitcoin opens up the market place to regions which are otherwise excluded due to their lack of stable banking infrastructures.  It provides a cheap access point for those with limited assets.  And it provides a means for those with non-centralized identification processes to establish a working transactional reputation without the interference of strenuous bureaucratic regulations.
Bitcoin can be second resources for them, if the people of poor country can get extra income, they will not have difficulty to fulfil their daily need. What they only need is internet connection and hard ware to earning bitcoin. litle by litle the economy condition of the country will going to be better. And I agree with you that they can free working from strenuous bureaucratic regulation.

Also, many regions around the world are confined to local markets due to the lack of an established banking infrastructure that could open up the economy on a macro scale for them.  Bitcoin can connect those regions of the world economically in such a way that their goods and services could be marketed to a larger consumer base without having to rely upon third party capitalists to get their goods to market.

Ohh! so that is really true that there are countries which does not have a good internet connection and bitcoin primarily need internet to operate it, in that situation your country will not be help by bitcoin. However, in the future there's a big possibility that internet connection will improve since we are living in a technology world, so you will be help in the future then.
